This is my point exactly.

Then why are you on this sub? Why are you talking to me? Wanna pick fights with internet strangers to feel better about yourself? GTFO

Well it’s more that I think it’s healthy for us all to talk about our progress in real life, much like we are doing right now online. Why the hostility?

This is great advice that I’ve been seeing all over the responses here— and it’s something I have been working on already. I do see that my social life does revolve around her a lot more than I’d like. I’m working on organizing more social events without her.

This is great— thank you so much, man.

I think that would be unfair to ask for one way. I know I’m opening up a Pandora’s box with this but the alternative is ending the relationship which might happen anyways.

I’m 5’6” 140lbs, been working out 1-3 times a week and have been playing soccer so I’m in not bad shape. Have been reading Married Man Sex Life Primer but need to grab some of the other readings. I like how I look— still working on myself but am not disappointed in that department. I have tended not to be assertive enough in the past and have ended up more passive aggressive than I should have. Working on all that too but appreciate advice if you have it.

Yup this is great advice, thanks. I have recently been putting a lot of gym and socializing time in. I am coming towards a point where I have some interest from a woman I’ve been talking to. But I feel like it’s cowardly and dangerous to just cheat, and I’d rather be open and up front with my SO about my need to have relationships outside of ours when ours has been withering.

Thanks guys. This is really helpful. I'm realizing that I let a lot of the principles that you recommend slip after being in a long term relationship and I'm learning that it's very important to maintain some of them.

Thanks! Didn't realize this existed!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
