"Linda Olsson, another commenter wrote: "The first time a man doesn't turn this into how sad it made HIM and how unfortunate it is for HIM that girls live in a constant fear of rape." Hit the nail on the head. We need more men like him in the world.

calm down. "because I'm a guy, because I'm a part of the problem" that mindset is bullshit, that is NOT a feminist sentiment. You are missing the point friend.

Girl, you are SERIOUSLY missing the point. It's not about gender blaming, it's not about blaming or shaming. It's about exposing the truth, people's realities. Fighting against sexism and misogyny does not hurt men, it does not blame men, it does not push men down. To say a woman was hurt does not minimize the hurt that a man has experienced. To say a woman was raped does not minimize the rape that a man suffered. There can be movements devoted to a specific cause, that is not damaging to other …

well, just from my personal experience, I haven't encountered any of these types of people who you are describing, who devalue people based on their genitals. I guess if I'd run into a whole community of people who were doing that then I'd absolutely disassociate myself from it out of principle, but that hasn't been my experience. I've been lucky enough to encounter a community of strong social justice advocates who are mainly concerned with ending exploitation, abuse and violence in our society…

True feminists are opposed to sexual violence/ exploitation of any kind including that of males. "The feminists who are actively hurting male victims are doing it.. because they're feminists." I disagree with you there. Those people who are hurting male victims as you say are doing it because they have emotional problems. They have issues. Its not because of the ideology of feminism, it's because of the flawed nature of humans and how we often lash out when we are badly hurt.

"“There are many feminist women’s groups who lobby the government and make the government and Law enforcement believe that all men are evil and all women are angels that can do no wrong when it comes to sex. It is very interesting that none of these anti-sex trafficking groups believe that a man can be a sex trafficking victim. Since they believe it is impossible for a man to be a victim when it comes to sex." I've never encountered a single feminist or anti-sex trafficking group that would ever…

I don't think it's about you specifically and more the nature of dating. People get cold feet at the last minute all the time. Regardless of who they are going to meet, people get really nervous, shy etc. I wouldn't assume that there is anything wrong with you or your approach.

not just women- but any human who is offended by sexism. Feminists are not just female, and it's not only women who are hurt by sexism.

I suggest OKCupid. I was single for a long time too, and I'm also very shy and introverted. It's really hard to approach or pick people up in bars or anywhere in public really. OKCupid I had some great success however because you already know from the getgo- everyone there is looking for something, and it says exactly what they are looking for in their profile. The % system is really cool and helpful, you can find ppl with similar interests (that can help with conversation). I kept at OKC for a …

"When I know the girl is into me" I would say be careful about projecting your desire onto someone else. You can really never know for sure how someone else is feeling unless you ask them. If you are that confident about reading someone's mind- chances that you are coming off a little arrogant or rude? That's my guess. Just be careful not to assume...

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
