I mean, there could be a third option, one like what we have for police officers. They are only allowed to take a human life in very specific situations. Qualified immunity protects them when they are acting in good faith. They are only at risk of prosecution in cases of serious malpractice.

So do men and women. No one is saying Marxism creates classes. They’re saying it’s creates the idea of oppressor/oppressed and that has been used by many movements. The bourgeois/proletariat, men/women, straight/gay, cis/trans, white/poc, etc. if you listen to any movement fighting for rights, their rhetoric is identical other than the names of the oppressed and the oppressor.

I don’t think it’s all or nothing. And I think it fits because he mentioned he’s incorporating stoicism into his life. Just because shaming can hurt doesn’t mean it’s not helpful to try to let all the little shit from strangers slide. I get shamed all the time on r/askfeminists and it doesn’t phase me one bit. That’s absolutely true. Women commit much less crimes and when you look at violent crimes it’s not even close. But I wasn’t referring to arrests in comparison the population. I was talking about crimes that have already been committed. This is a big problem along other negative mental health consequences. I think in places where birth control and abortion are available, the consequences of casual sex are not easily visible. I’m chill, was just asking a question, same as you. Going forward… if someone wants to relay something that they remember, they tend to use words like “I remember” or “I recall”. that’ll be you’re first clue. But no, babies don’t have long term memory at that stage. But trauma is stored in their brains and does affect them later. Hope that clarifies things!

In most cases those job are extremely demanding and time consuming and the fact is that there are more men willing to work 70 hour weeks in high stress positions whereas women tend to look for more balance. That’s just untrue. You’re thinking of the fact that “married women” needed their husbands permission for credit. That’s because the stare held the husband 100% liable for any debt she incurred, including tossing him in jail if he could pay her bills.
