I've never seen, heard about, or experienced this phenomenon. I've been on dates where I've gone to pay and my dates have vehemently insisted that they'll pay. I've had small arguments about it. My dates have actually thanked me for wanting to pay but it seems like the vast majority of guys like to pay, at least on the first date. I got drinks or dinner on the second dates.

You're right - and I hate how these subs become echo chambers for such toxic ways of thought. As a woman who wants to enjoy Reddit just as much as anyone else, seeing posts like this are so jarring. Takes me back to the reality that this platform is used predominantly by males, many of whom are immature/sexist and just don't give a fuck about expanding their worldview.
