I miss being able to say the person I come to when I'm losing my composure/crying so I can receive affection/reassurance and the hot chick I have sex with all the time are the same person. I miss the 'us vs the world' mentality.

Don't get me wrong, I get the 'It's nice to feel desired' aspect of it. But if that's all it takes to get the ball rolling for her to leave the guy she's with, I have no reason to believe she'll be loyal with me.

I can relate to the sentiment of this as a whole, and it does speak to me, but I'm looking for a serious long lasting relationship so... Why we hesitate to say “So”, when a girl says “I have a boyfriend” If this actually interests the girl I'm talking to, she's already not my idea of serious relationship material.
