It's funny you comment "I don't buy that" about a thought a have, I'm pretty sure I can confirm the authenticity of my own thoughts. You're right on the second point, I sure as hell wouldn't do it without anesthetic now, although when they had a doctor do it when I was 8 days old (apparently how old religious texts say the baby should be) I didn't cry or show discomfort at all. I don't get the big deal about it, I'm helmetless and glad, it makes it a hell of a lot harder to get diseases and infections and apparently makes you last longer. If my parents hadn't done it I probably would have had it done of my own accord.
