"Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord." Romans 12:19 NIV

One word: Legacy. You have the opportunity to make a real difference in someone else's life. Sure she might be angry, mean and bitter. But making your son your highest priority, and teaching them what it means to be a man (your definition, not hers). Legacy means investing in their future. Yes, there's the chance that things may not turn out as you hoped; but you have the inner satisfaction of knowing you did what was best for someone else. Truth is, you can do that without marriage or biologica…

So, I tell this story to my adult kids all the time: When you fly on an airplane, and the flight attendant is giving their spiel, if you pay attention, they make this statement: "In the event of a rapid cabin depressurization, oxygen masks will deploy from above your seat. IF YOU ARE TRAVELING WITH SMALL CHILDREN, PUT THE MASK ON YOURSELF FIRST before assisting them." Why? Isn't this being selfish? Not really, and here's the principle: you have to take care of yourself FIRST, or you will be usel…

7 A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man. 8 For man did not come from woman, but woman from man; 9 neither was man created for woman, but woman for man. 10 It is for this reason that a woman ought to have authority over her own c head, because of the angels. 11 Nevertheless, in the Lord woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman. 12 For as woman came from man, so also man is born of woman. But everything come…

You want to REALLY flip their lids, tell them that CHRISTIANITY is right about women... 22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. 24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. (Ephesians 5:22-24) And 18 Wives, submit yourselves to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. (Colossians 3:1…

As a "religious person", I can tell you that there are two main reasons. First, it's because God said it's wrong. Sometimes you have to do what God said, even when it doesn't make sense. Why? God's been around a lot longer than I have, and I assume he knows more than I do. Best to follow the leader in this case. Second, it makes common sense. Restraining your urges is a form of self-control (something a lot of people are lacking these days). Just because something smells nice, and looks pleasant…

I'm not a financial wizard, but I would be careful of online offers for "passive income". 99% of these turn out to be scams. Probably the closest thing I have seen (my wife did this years ago) is something like an online "secret shopper" job. How it works is something like this (different companies, and your mileage may vary): Companies hire people to go into retail stores and buy their product, just as if you were a normal customer. The company reimburses you for your purchase, plus payment for…

Had a boss once explain it to me this way: You either multiply yourself, or you multiply your money. When you multiply yourself, you get more people to do what you do, increasing productivity and profits. When you multiply your money, you invest in profitable ventures, earn increased interest, then have the interest earn compound interest. Never mess with the principle. If you take out a loan, pay off the principle early as possible, saving interest payments.

It's in the first part of a "rock-umentary" by Eric Holmberg, called Hells Bells 2: The Toll Continues. I found the whole thing to be fascinating. The first edition (Hell's Bells 1) was done in the 80s so it's pretty dated. HB Part 2 is longer, more expanded on some topics like the development of Western culture as it relates to rock music, and is updated to include newer artists. You might like it, you might not, but the first part (linked above) will give you a good glimpse of the whole presen…

I just finished watching a Christian documentary about this subject! Lots of people like to use the "Don't judge me!" defense when they are acting stupid, or if they know you will disapprove. The phrase comes from the Bible, Matthew 7:1, "Judge not, lest you be judged." But is Jesus really saying that we should never cast judgement on people or situations? Hardly. In fact, it's impossible to get through life without making judgement calls. So what is He saying? We get the full picture later in t…

I realized after a class I took covering the DSM-5. She had all the symptoms: Daddy issues: she tried everything to get his approval, which, to her, he merely waved off. This merely re-started the cycle of her trying harder -- changing jobs, working harder to excel in "something", but never quite being "good enough". (She was crazy talented, which is what attracted me in the first place. But it never seemed to be good enough for her). Next, she had the classic "revolving door of unstable relatio…

See, my point is that, in order for someone to get that size, there has to be someone enabling that behavior. Someone has got to be bringing her buckets of chicken, instead of properly portioned meals. Sure, she will FEEL hungry while she's loosing weight (dont we all), and she will cry and beg and make deals...but in the end, if her enabler really cared about her, he would help her, not watch her die.

Oh, I know a lot of what happened. Dad was a traveling businessman, mom was a stay at home. But she made it miserable for him when he was home, so of course, he found solace in the arms of another woman. (He was not a religious person, so there was no stigma for him to "go his own way".) Then, once he retired with a full pension, he dropped the divorce papers (I was still a teenager at the time.) There was plenty of fault to go around on both sides. But eventually it was my mother and grandmothe…

I guess my point is that life doesn't come FROM the mother, but through her. She has the spark of life inherent in herself, but whether or not she chooses to pass this down to another person...is her choice. Even in the case of rape, incest, what have you, she has a choice whether or not to give birth. And her motives may or may not be pure as the driven snow. She may just be looking to pad her welfare check, or she may be looking to honorably raise leaders for a new generation. In any case, the…

I've had a theory for a while now, and this is going to sound racist, but here goes. I noticed a lot of news/talking heads duos on TV where the newscaster couple was comprised of black man/asian woman, or asian man/black or brown woman, or a combination of that. Then i started thinking, why would they do that? And it seems to be purposeful... So i figured, maybe it is a way to represent the largest possible demographic, by hiring the smallest number of people. That's my theory anyway.

I will have to admit, when we have sex, it's pretty amazing. Or at least I remember it to be that way.

My favorite is from Psalm 103: 14 For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are but dust. Then the little boy turned to his mother and asked, "Mommy, what's butt dust?"

I remember not long ago, that there was a firestorm in one of the automotive subs when they used the term "tranny", short for transmission. They were brigaded by SJWs who deemed them insensitive, and the mods had to sticky something as an explanation...but even that didn't cool them down. Welcome to 2017 and beyond.

That has always been the weirdest part of our relationship. Its like she's projecting onto me, and I've told her over and over about it, to no avail. She does something wrong, obviously wrong, and instead of admitting it, apologizing (which I don't think is even in her vocabulary) she gets mad AT ME... Curiouser and curiouser, said Alice.

Reminds me of a story I heard years ago. (Cannot confirm who told me, and it is not original with me). Husband and wife arguing about typical house stuff. She says, "I don't always want you to just FIX things, sometimes I just need you to listen!" The next morning, as they are leaving for work (separately), she discovers that she has a flat tire. As he is pulling out of the driveway, he says, "Honey, I'm so sympathetic for you. Hope your day goes better!" And drives away.

The best part for me was as he was explaining how to work as a team (about 1:15 into it), the looks on their faces were precious. They were like, "Work...as a team? What does that even mean?" Just...Wow.

Im also subbed to quite a few others, and I think a random article came across my feed. I dug a little deeper, and I liked what I saw. Took me about a week to decide to subscribe (there is a lot of negativity, I confess) but lots of sound advice too, so.....here I am!

New subscriber here. It's a feeling that there are other guys out there that understand what I'm going through on a day-to-day basis. I'm watching the videos, and getting smart for a change. Let's see where this train goes, shall we?

I would introduce her to the psychological phenomenon known as the Dunning-Kruger effect. In other words, it's a cognitive bias that says that a person, who her low ability and intellect, THINKS they are vastly superior to those around them. She has it.

Took pictures, took the police with me to her apartment, the officer on the scene agreed. Now, years later, I realize I should have called child protective services...but I was young and stupid, and no one ever told me it was an option. So I moved on with my life. Kid 1 turned out ok. He's a marine and got a good head on his shoulders. Kid 2 is real messed up, blames me for all the bad things in her life (as I'm sure Mommy made her aware of....) Wont speak to me, years later. Thinks I'm the anti…

That was my argument too...the judge (Mississipi county court) didnt see it that way. Rule for the plaintiff. Next case. The divorce was just as bad. I had evidence, before the divorce was final, that she neglected them (left them at daycare for 12+ hours a day on a regular basis, the child care center called me to pick them up way after closing, etc.)... But the attorney said, "Here's my advice. She's gonna get the kids 99 times out of 100, unless you can prove she is literally Hitler. Doesn't …

If she caused that on his face, he needs to GTFO now. Certainly there is a pattern of verbal abuse that came long before the physical abuse. No PERSON (male or female) is worth this kind of treatment.

F'ing child support. My kids were in rags, eating leftover pizza for years. Once, I took the "child support" and bought them clothes and a decent meal. I kept receipts. She took me to court, and sued me for the money. Do you know what the court said? Its her money, she can spend it however she damn well pleases...kids be damned. Never again.
