My life improved so much when I stopped giving gals value just for being gals and instead focused on surrounding myself with interesting, involved people.

You're in college man; just live it up. Hit the books, play sports with friends, go out partying. Be super friendly to everyone and strike up conversations with all your classmates after class. Organize study sessions. Girls (and guy friends) will flock to you.

Guy here: every girl I've ever dated has had a higher sex drive than me to the point where we had to talk about how to compromise. Girls love it, but make themselves so vulnerable by going home with a dude twice her size who could easily do her harm. Once they're comfortable with someone, they almost always turn out to be total sex addicts.

My old criteria for whether or not I liked a gal was whether or not she liked me. Seriously, I took what I could get, and I found myself dating girls and even in relationships with people I didn't like, only because I didn't think I could do better. Now I only want girls I can't have. I think I pass up on some very nice women because of it. It's like I enjoy the challenge more than the actual person, and I don't like it. It's something I'm trying to work through.

I think the key to this not being sleazy is only doing if it it's true. Don't tell her you'll respect her then the next day go bragging to your friends about how you banged her.

Every girl I've dated recently has commented that they were impressed that I actually called them. Just sayin. Girls know it takes guts to dial the number, not knowing how the conversation will go, and they appreciate it. And if you're calling a # for the first time, DEFINITELY leave a quick voicemail. Nothing serious, just remind them who you are, maybe a quick inside joke, and tell them to call you back. That's how you take control of the situation, as opposed to hoping they'll return your mis…

This is good advice! Having a roommate will not stop you at all. Just make sure the two of you are open about sex and privacy and I actually think it's a net positive. Two people's money to make the living room awesome. Double the friends and women that will come through your house. Better apartment for throwing a party. Someone to drag you out to the bar when you might otherwise stay on Reddit. The positives are endless!

The day I fake receiving a text in hopes of getting laid by some floozy at a bar is the day my masculinity dies for good. Not saying it won't happen.

With that small level of interaction, you gotta invite her to get coffee right then and there. That phone #'s not gonna lead to anything.

How is giving people what they want dishonorable? Chicks love sex and most of them are desperate for a decent guy to have it with.

I often leave my phone in the car when I go out these days, and get numbers on a notepad. Girls always comment about how old school I am which gives me a great chance to agree/amplify.

Anyone else vastly prefer day game to night game? It's just so much easier to approach nonchalantly in a coffee shop or grocery store. At a bar, every girl seems to have her shields up and I feel a stigma against "trying to get laid." Plus, the people I've met recently during the day have been much more interesting than the people I've been meeting at night.

I also gotta suggest not necessarily banging every girl you meet. It's probably more beneficial to build a small group of friends to go out with and meet many, many more people.

Depends what kind of town this is. Check out the local bar and just introduce yourself to everyone, male or female, attractive or unattractive. Feel free to tell people you're new in town and ask for fun places to hang out and things to do. From there just get some #s and truly follow up with the people you meet!

I'm right there with ya. I saw my fuckbuddy this afternoon and now I really just want to cuddle with someone. But I am certain I don't want her as a gf. Eagerly awaiting some replies.

My favorite first date is always grabbing a drink at a bar or coffee shop. It's so low-commitment and the best way to get to know someone. End the date on your own terms so as to keep yourself in demand. The second date is where you make your move if you like her.

I stumbled upon this article from Esquire a few years back. You have the definition completely correct, and I believe that honesty is 100% of the time the correct route (not necessarily with law enforcement...). People are so afraid of offending others with the truth and it's just way easier to be upfront. People are pretty tough and can handle the truth, whether that truth is that you don't like their haircut, that you get annoyed when your roommate doesn't take out the trash, or that you aren'…

Pretty sure this is how most relationships start. If you like her, go for it. If you'd rather be single, then cut it off.

Yes, but not until I've met the girl at least once or twice and we've established sexual tension in person.

Yeah but the thing is, you didn't come off as a creeper, she won't tell anyone that you hit on her, and no one is laughing at you. Quit being so self-conscious!

I meet girls I like at events that I want to be at. I never meet anyone I find too interesting at bars and clubs. I look for them at local concerts, art galleries, and farmer's markets, cause those are the things that I'm into and I want a girl to be into.

I worked as a movie theater cashier and it really helped. I was super friendly and flirty to pretty much everyone, guy or girl, attractive or not. It definitely made me more confident talking to strangers.

This is so awful and awkward. Thanks for posting it as an example, though! As far as the timing of my responses, I generally respond quickly when she responds quickly, but when she takes awhile, I wait as well. Always texting back quickly makes you seem like you have nothing going on I see this mindset posted somewhat frequently. Let me say that you are doing it completely wrong. Why pretend that you have something going on? Why aren't you actually out doing fun stuff where you're not sitting ar…

Pretty much any job will work. I worked at a movie theater in college and it definitely helped my social skills. Looking attractive women in the eye and making small talk about movies while they wait for their food is a great way to build confidence.

Nofap doesn't work for me. I went months without fapping and had issues getting it up plenty of times during that time. My dick works better when it gets a regular workout, so I now masturbate 3-5 times a week. I don't ever watch porn though. I think ED is 100% mental. The more you worry about it, the worse it gets. Even calling it a 'dysfunction' is probably bad.

I fail approximately 3 times a day, and I succeed approximately 3 times a month. I don't mind the ratio at all, and honestly couldn't handle more friends/girls right now.

Good work going for it! I don't think you had to switch to something mundane. The fact that she kept the conversation going means she at least had some interest. I probably would've just introduced myself at that point and asked what she's studying (it sounds like you're at college).

lol no this isn't bad. My first bj took over an hour; that girl was a trooper. Nerves are a very real thing. It also sounds like it wasn't a very good bj. Don't get worked up over this and there's no need to stop fapping. Spoiler alert: your first time having sex will probably suck too!

Only buy one if she does something for you. If a girl tells me a legitimately funny joke or story, I'll reward her with a drink. But to be fair, I do this for guys too.

You're a sailor, you do BJJ, and you race cars (or something)? You sound like you're pretty fucking fun. Find ways to incorporate that shit in conversations (don't force it). Girls love guys with skills that they're passionate about, especially unique/badass ones like yours.

All I can say is that you're gonna find sex seriously underwhelming. It just feels like the next step beyond a BJ, and if you're using a condom (you should be) it doesn't even feel as good as one.

The best spot is the lounges outside of the gym area. My school's was a total meat market, but I'd never approach someone who is trying to work out.

Agreed. I love flirting with girls who are working (or when I worked as a cashier) but I'd never actually go for a close. It just seems so needy and desperate.

I find that a girl's physical appearance just isn't as important to me. I'd rather hook up with a "4" that is fun, flirty, and can hold a conversation than a "10" that's full of herself or dumb as a doornail. Part of me approaching women is me deciding if I want to have sex with them, not just convincing them to want to have sex with me.

Do your kegels man! Do these for a month and you will be able to achieve boners at will, not to mention increased stamina and more powerful orgasms.

Shoes are very important. So many guys go out in goofy running shoes and I don't know why.
/r/seduction05/12/11 01:26 AM

Guys, I wouldn't suggest filling your wardrobe with vests. They look really really goofy on almost everyone without a jacket. The key is to get a 3-piece suit (jacket, pants, vest), and take off the jacket when you're relaxing. Then and only then is a vest appropriate. And never wear one without a tie.

There's a difference that's pretty easy to spot. The man and woman you posted as attractive clearly work out and watch what they eat. The ones you posted as ugly I would say are content with their marital status or lack thereof and have let themselves go, so to speak.

I don't disagree with what Hitchens said, but why couldn't he look the Rabbi in the eye during any of this? Then he cuts him off repeatedly at the end. Not a way to win a debate in my eyes
