Additionally, some plans require that you stop making contributions until the loan is paid back (so you'll miss out on employer match). I've also heard of cases where companies require you to pay your loan back in full if you leave the company

From past experience, this behavior doesn't get better, it only gets worse. Not sure about your retirement, but if she's not willing to change, you have a bigger future problem on your hands.

Don't discount that they want to maintain a relationship with you. I could be wrong, maintain a boundary, but allow for a future relationship if the past was also good.
