Ridiculousness. Women need a reality check on their expectations. We can't all be 6'2", bring in 7 figures, and have the time to spend every second professing our undying love. This hits real close to home for me and I can at least personally vouch for this. Another thought on this...at least in my work....equity implies ownership....which I don't think that is what is meant in the political realm from what I'm hearing. Probably explains why some people have gotten so pissed at my posts that mention equity, I'm implying a different definition than what is used in political conversation.

Thank you for the correction. For some reason I was applying equity in terms of stock equity. Probably because that's what I look at all day every day. I also remember seeing something at my son's school explaining as equal opportunity (not equal outcome) good thing I'm switching him schools because it sounds like they don't even know the difference.

That makes sense why they are using it that way. Maybe I mixed it up due to the industry I work in. My interpretation of it and the way I have used it is that you get out of something what you put into it. It seems like politics has sequestered and contorted the word.

Quick question....am I missing something regarding equity vs. Equality? It seems the word equity is being confused with socialist ideas. My understanding was that meant equal opportunity, not equal outcome; leaving the differentiator in the outcome up to skill set, physical ability, and effort. Im not arguing, I just have seen this argument that equity is a socialist idea. Please refrain from weaponizing my question, just want to make sure I don't offend anyone in the workplace or public.

I made the choice for a vasectomy after our 2nd child. Thought my wife would love the unhibited sex of not having to worry about getting pregnant. Did it because of her issues with post-partum and how difficult the 2nd pregnancy was as well as selfishly thinking it would heat things up in the bedroom. Wrong wrong wrong. I personally think she thought of sex as only a way to procreate and not as an activity for enjoyment and bonding.
