I think there are two things to distinguish here. First, I said that, in my experience, most women want someone with greater physical capability than they themselves have. It's not relevant which gender has the greater capacity. It's a comparison among individuals. Fighting capacity is, to some extent, gendered (because strength is). But what I mean is that most women I know would find a man that they could beat up relatively unattractive. Sure, some women, especially trained women, can beat up …

I agree, metrics matter. By physical capability I meant things like strength, speed, coordination, fighting ability, hand-eye coordination, etc. Basically your ability to physically manipulate non-you things in the world. I think we more or less agree here though, small details aside.

God bless those people. I am still young, so maybe I’ll get better at stripping the office away as I gain age and experience. I’m being sloppy with my metaphors. I am not a storm – but a storm does follow me. When you’re accountable and responsible for everything there’s always something to do, always someone asking for something, always something to worry about. I don’t rely on anyone to escape the storm, but once I have escaped, I don’t want to run into the storm carried around by my partner, …

Nigella Lawson is not my go to for a sexy woman, for what it's worth. A better example would be a 20-something hollywood star v. my hot accountant. The star is not more beautiful or attractive to me (or the men I know) because she is rich. You can see my other responses re: "loving work more than partner". But basically, the way I see it, I love my partner through my work. Wouldn't work nearly as hard or in the same way were it not for her presence in my life. At the same time, I would not be ok…

I think I misunderstood the asymmetry that you meant. You meant something like time asymmetry. I was talking about a power asymmetry. Not spending time together is a sacrifice for both of us. She will spend a lot more time with our kids. True, we don't tend to articulate such things in the negative. Put another way, most women I know are attracted to men with substantially more physical, economic, and intellectual capability than they themselves have. I like capable women, but other things are m…

I observe that I, and most of the men I know, are not more attracted to Nigella Lawson because of the economic value she creates in the world. Rich Nigella Lawson is just as sexy (more or less) as Nigella Lawson poor. The reverse does not hold. This isn't to say that there's anything wrong with powerful or rich women. But a relationship is about mutual benefit, and my preferences matter. Not every woman wants to be a CEO - some want to be supportive stay at home moms. I'll marry one of those. So…

There is definitely a power asymmetry in my relationship. Could that asymmetry be used to hurt her? Absolutely. Does its mere existence hurt her? No. Is it unfair to her? I don't think so: in my experience most women want to be with a man who is smarter, wealthier, more fit, etc. I mean, that sounds bad, but can you think of very many women who actively want to be with a man who is dumber, poorer, and less fit than they are? That sounds absurd, right? Asymmetry emerges inevitably from my wife's …

Hell no. I'm cranky, stressed, and worried all the time. Why would I want to bring twice the amount of madness into my life by dating someone similar? This is especially true when you consider the alternative: a patient, loving woman who understands that you're busy creating value and loves you all the more for it. A woman like that is a refuge in a storm; a woman in a similar position is just another storm you have to deal with (except you don't get paid for it and dealing with it doesn't add v…

If sexual domination = making someone extremely lustful, then sure. It doesn't have to be 50 shades of grey stuff, though I suppose it could be. And, true enough, I certainly wasn't envisioning her dominating me (in that case, she would still be in control)! But even really good vanilla sex tends to cause people to surrender (or lose) control. I needn't retain mine; a mutual loss of self in lust and pleasure would tick the same box for me.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/17 02:01 AM

But I have no desire to be unemployed, much less dependent. I like creating value in the world beyond my marriage, making sure my employees get paid, etc. Operationally, creating value in the wider world does create value in my marriage, because it creates value in me. Being a kept man isn't really attractive at this point in my life. I'm not saying that it's not a legitimate choice for a man or a woman, I'm just saying that I personally wouldn't find it satisfying.

It turns me on actually. I would enjoy the contrast of seeing someone who is normally in control turned into a wet pile of lust. Would I date such a woman? No, but only because I am a CEO of a small company and I barely have time to think about anything or anyone else. I want my partner to care about me more than her job (if she even has a job). That's would be impossible for a woman (or man) in a position like that.

It's a fucked up double-bind, especially if you don't even really want to cheat. My relationship is halfway open, in that I have free reign to look for other girls for group sex. Things are always the best when I'm lining girls up, but the wife doesn't know. Things are definitely the worst in my marriage when i decide that looking for other girls is tiring and that it's time to focus on other things. It's like they can smell it on you. When you meet the right guy, you'll be willing to have sex early in the relationship. My wife's situation was similar. She met me and was no longer a virgin in about 7 days. She's not religious, so when it was right, it was right. Your best bet is to only date people who are serious about finding a long term partner. They do exist, even in college.

There is an important difference between hypergamous outcomes and attempted hypergamy. The actual outcome isn't relevant when it comes to behavior; the woman's expectation upon the initiation of divorce is. Relevant data would contain surveyed expectations of women. If the data showed that women expected a lower standard of living with a less desirable man, the RP position would be falsified.

I work helping prepare foreign students to apply to the US. Part of what we do is critical thinking training and essay training. I have discussions on the wage gap/ the biological basis of gender very frequently. Maybe every 4th female student asks me if she is likely to be sexually assaulted a University and if it is safe to go. This year, for the first time, I've had male students referencing rape numbers posted on online review sites like niche.com. It's pretty disheartening that all this hys…

Something that I've found useful is to point out the rate of rape where men are probably at their rapiest: in war zones. You can find links scattered through the internet like this one http://www.ptsd.va.gov/public/PTSD-overview/women/rape-women-war-zone.asp that give some perspective on those rates for different conflicts. In Bosnia, the high estimate is that 6% of all refugee women (I.e. Women exposed to a high degree of conflict) experienced sexual assault. Yet feminists ask you to believe th…

You'd be right, except that we didn't evolve in complex societies...we evolved probably, in small hunter gatherer groups where being a brute had greater survival utility than allowing yourself to be slighted did. To allow a small insult is to create and impression of weakness, which in turn incentivizes other attacks. You still see this dynamic in some of the less...sophisticated cultures on the planet.
/r/TheRedPill19/12/16 01:35 AM

No. They're just hyper-aware of the actual dynamics of consent rather than the dynamics of consent that fit the feminist narrative. That alone would be enough to explain the sensitivity, since we've now entered an era where a girl can sense your commanding presence, feel threatened, do everything you want while never voicing an objection, and still shame you for rape. I'm sure someone can dig up the story that I'm referring to.

As you've formulated your CMV, you almost certainly need to change your mind. Everything you've said is correct, but you ignore the fact that your genes affect your behavior as well as your appearance. The popular concept of shallow is someone who strongly prioritizes looks over behavior/capability (both genetically based and extremely relevant when it comes to fitness), i.e. someone who neglects the total genetic picture and judges only on a partial one. I suppose this is also why we would caus…

Also, never underestimate the power of husband-goggles. An old wife who has been a good wife gets a lot of extra points tacked on for her virtue. It's not that men don't love young nubile bodies, of course we do. It's that a woman with history of being a loving partner actually affects our perception of her in a positive way. This effect would be more pronounced if there were more good female partners/wives these days

Yes. Kind of if you interpret "nice" correctly. Magnanimity, generosity, and high-mindedness can create status (in addition to being old-school virtues well-worth cultivating for their own sake). No, if nice and generous translates to "doormat."

Not that it's particularly relevant to my point, but I dated and married my wife in a major American city. We only moved to Vietnam after we had been together in the states for years. I will admit, it does chap my ass a bit that people assume I couldn't get girls in difficult dating markets merely because of the race of my partner, especially when I was successful as I was in a very competitive market (i.e. a place full of tall, wealthy, white dudes who liked asian girls). Have you read either "on killing" or "men against fire?" The objections listed in your source are actually a bit silly given the claims of both books. A few things make me wonder if the reviewer even finished grossmans book: 1) Neither Marshall nor Grossman are so stupid as to include noncombat staff in their ratio of non-firers to firers. 2) The US military altered its training after Korea specifically to include psychological conditioning (as opposed to mere training) to fire under certain cir…

To be perfectly clear, I'm objecting to this statement of yours (the violin thing was certainly manipulative): The behaviors in a healthy relationship and a manipulative relationship can potentially be exactly the same, but the intent behind the behaviors makes all the difference. I don't think this is a fair statement because it would define honest, well-intentioned actions aimed at legitimate goals as manipulative and bad. For example, let's say "fall-in line" means "consent enthusiastically t…

So if I take an action or series of actions because I have determined that it will have certain positive effects on my life, albeit positive effects caused by affecting other people in my life, that's manipulative (and bad?). I live in Southeast Asia, and the young people here are slowly succumbing to the SJW mind-virus as well. I was recently asked by a student if it was safe for her to go to NYU, because of "all the rape". Happily, students here are amenable to statistical persuasion, and so I actually pulled the surveys and showed why they're terrible. Most teachers won't do that though, so it's only. I agree that if you use video games as a proxy for real life achievement, that's a serious problem. My initial response was triggered (lol) by the notion that this clock game was somehow "the epitome" of video games, as if all games could be reduced to such mindless clicking. This is plainly untrue of some of the most celebrated games ever made. Playing the Mass Effect series, for example, is every bit as impactful and meaningful as reading A Tale of Two Cities. Kind to whomever I can whenever I can afford to be. I'll give money to homeless people, take pity on the weak, and give an enemy a last drink of water before I slit his throat. I'll employ the people I put out of business, and on generous terms. Kindness is like love: no one can ever really deserve it. But to be unkind when kindness is possible, to a man or a woman, is aesthetically repulsive to me. It smacks of pettiness.

Plates are not an absolute necessity. The ability to have plates is. Unfortunately, pretty much the only way to verify this ability, especially in such a way that women appreciate it, is to have multiple plates. That said, it sounds like you're with a pretty awesome gal. They do exist, and aren't as uncommon in certain demographics as people here would like to believe. I'm talking about mainland Southeast Asia. It's just silliness to compare cultures like that of Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam to all of greater Polynesia (the people that made it to Hawaii and populated the more far flung parts of Australasia), as if these were somehow identical or even meaningfully similar cultures. The Swedes ultimately came from Africa, does that make them African? The cultures of mainland south east asia and Australasia mostly diverged long ago. The fact that you disagree with…

As you can see from my post history, I am indeed talking about Vietnam, but I disagree with your implication that Vietnam somehow doesn't count. Vietnam is very much a part of SE Asia -- it's the most populous country in the region (if we don't count Indonesia, which is a very different animal than the mainland countries). It has more people than Thailand, and almost as many as Laos, Cambodia, and Burma put together. I'm also not interested in playing games about what qualifies a woman as prosti…

Of course bar girls are hookers. They get paid for sex. One of the most repulsive aspects of Southeast Asia is that everyone wants to pretend that things are what they aren't. Prostitution is illegal, but VIP massage is a-ok ::wink wink::. Your kid can't play the piano, but you have a picture of him playing so that visitors will think he does. I don't think they will, even statistically speaking. Just google the divorce rate myth. I think the real number is something like 35 percent of all marriages. When you consider that this the rate for ALL marriages, including people who got married more than once, it looks less crazy. These are also marriages among ALL people: the ill educated, the addicted, the criminal, the dregs of society as well as the cream. Respectfully, you may not want to cut off all contact. Lots of black men have bad a problem with presumed paternity. Here's how it works: She names you as the father on the birth certificate, it goes uncontested by you (because you have no idea that she's done so), she serves you with a child support order after a sufficient amount of time passes that you no longer have the legal right to contest paternity. Well, be careful man. My heart goes out to you. Getting some tail on the side would almost certainly help with the resentment. Ultimately, it's a bit of a risk reward calculation: which endangers you (physically, emotionally, financially, and spiritually) more, a calculated act of infidelity or years of building resentment? For me, that answer is super clear. Of course, your answers could be different. Ironically, cheating on your wife might make you a better husband for your wife, not just a ha…

There are a couple solutions to this dilemma. Cheat and don't get caught (I would consider this mandatory for awhile if my wife cheated on me; it's just a matter of reclaiming dignity in my eyes). Or find a way to be with someone else with your wife, make the threeway happen, whatever. Takes all the resentment away pretty much immediately, which is good, because resentment is quite toxic. For what it's worth, in most post-Christian western traditions evil is defined as the absence of Good (which means that existence itself is positive). Total emptiness, or void, is therefore evil. Whether or not people intellectually understand this, we're all acculturated to it. Ergo, to say that the women's supposed seat of virtue, goodness, and personality is empty does indeed make it sound like you're saying women have evil souls, at least in a Western context.

If voting even truly matters and Trump gets elected, my bet is that he doesn't make it out of his first term before the "Islamists" get him. No late stage "democracy" has ever been controlled by the public. I cant imagine that the US is. Just like Rome, the praetorian picks, whoever they are. As a red-piller I don't believe this. I do believe that women are often far too conservative with their choices of saving and investment (at least this is borne out by almost all the women in my life). I thought the science was pretty settled on this; men take more risks than women. So, it's not that women don't run finances rationally. It's that they tend to be myopic when it comes to the bigger picture. It's that if my wife thinks saving $20 extra dollars a month is signficant, then she also i…

A theory is only as a good as its predictions. TRP has been empirically validated for lots and lots of men. If the evopsych ideas were completely disproved, we would just need to find a new mechanism that underpins the observed effectiveness. But the effectiveness wouldn't go away. Proof of the pudding is in the eating and all that. TRP is to Evo-Pysch as the study of artillery is to physics. As long as you understand things well enough to blow shit up, you're good to go.

What you say is probably true for a lot of TRP. Especially the angry men. For me TRP basically systematized a lot of things I'd been taught by various men in my life, in differing degrees. The systematizing part is important. Because they never had a theory, several of those men, just naturally good with women and at life, failed to understand what they were doing right, stopped doing it, and got divorce raped or are becoming depressed corporate lackeys...and they don't know why. The time period where husband's could kill their wives at will was during the early Roman times. This is quite a claim, especially considering that we have very poor sources for the early Republic. I'd like to see your source for this; I'm nearly certain it isn't solid, if it exists, just because almost nothing about the early Republic is. There are sources that support the arbitrary killing of children by the pater familias, BUT they are all secondary references (mentions by Roman and Greek aut…

My primary objections were to your initial claims that 1) women were chattel, and 2) husbands could murder their wives "if they pleased." I'm glad you agree with me that your earlier claims were substantially false. Don't forget that both women could initiate divorce without cause; quite a check on the husband's prerogative in marriage. Now we can move on to talk about the position of women relative to their fathers. I agree that in the case of adultery women could be killed by their fathers, at…

So we agree that women weren't treated as chattel, and that you only meant that feminists would say so, twisting language as they do. Good! From your original post: "He was able to literally kill his wife if he pleased." Flatly untrue, as per both our sources, unless by "if he pleased," you meant the wronged husbands father-in-law was able to kill his son's adulterous wife but only if he also killed his son's wife's lover. That is the kindest possible interpretation of your original statement an…

It doesn't matter how feminists would describe the situation. If feminists describe the sky as red it, doesn't make it so. Way to resist feminist power btw. Keep up the good fight ;-). We can diddle each other over the details of Roman property rights another time, my response was to OP's assertion: Pagan Rome treated women as chattel whereby the male had full rights over her. He was able to literally kill his wife if he pleased. We must confess this is flatly wrong as soon as we understand that…

This conversation is actually worth continuing, if anyone is actually listening, because it highlights something that I've found to be generally true about both the Red Pill and the ancient world. We expect it to be horribly brutal, and in some ways it is, but the reality is often strikingly fair and gentle in ways that we don't necessarily expect. Women's rights were quite restricted in the way feminists would consider "chattel" by modern standards. So we're going to accept feminist's definitio…

I've said all I need to. Have fun with your life. edit: I lied. From your own citation: "But women did have "private" legal rights. A Roman woman could -inherit property in her own name -own and sell her property -get a divorce -make a will or be the beneficiary of a will Although legally she needed permission from her male guardian [my addition: which not all women had and the laws on this varied considerably throughout the Republic and Empire] for legal transactions, this was apparently not ha…

There is no question that the rights of women were, shall we say, circumscribed in both the Republic and Empire. But OP was claiming that they were treated as chattel. Any familiarity with the laws or literature of the period shows this to be untrue. In particular, as Rome became stronger economically and militarily, women had more rights and more protections under the law than in previous times. Just read the wiki on Women in Ancient Rome and follow the sources. Even in the early Republic women…

Pagan Rome was not so vicious against women as you seem to think. Women certainly were not chattel, definitely not after the 1st century BC. There were numerous laws relating to the promotion of monogamous marriage passed especially under Augustus which punished both men and women for adultery. Also, in the form of marriage most common in the Empire women generally could NOT be killed by their husbands with impunity -- though daughters could be theoretically killed by their fathers (but not if t…

Vulnerability isn't negative when displaying it helps you or others make progress. Otherwise, any display of vulnerability is just self-pity. It might also help to appreciate that vulnerable comes from the latin vulnus, for wound. So, although etymology isn't destiny, you could reframe the question: when it is it good to show myself as wound-able? For example, let's say that you do BJJ. When you roll and tap, you are displaying vulnerability. You're announcing that the person who tapped you coul…

That proves nothing beyond a reasonable doubt. Rough sex could leave all those indicators of rape. I've seen more than one woman point to bruises consistent with rough sex that I've had, and claim they were the product of rape. This is a dangerous feminist canard, since it implies untrue things about the "patriarchy." Of course you could, in theory, be charged with raping your wife. But practically, how could a woman who consented to marry and live with you ever prove beyond a reasonable doubt that you had raped her? I look at formal marital rape exemptions (a la 17th, 18th, and 19th century English common law) as a formal protection of a man's right to only be convicted when he is judged to have committed a crime beyo…

Right. But if you've got your shit together and are constantly improving, since a man's scope for SMV growth is considerably greater than a woman's and since it extends over a greater time period, keeping your SMV above your wife's shouldn't be a problem. It should happen more or less automatically. In that context, I think a lot of men would prefer a good steady single partner over an endless string of new (and almost always disappointing) women. It is certainly true. If you see a red bird, and you try to identify it, your set becomes "all red birds" it most certainly does not remain "all birds." If you see a sex act that looks like rape, your set becomes "all sex acts that look like rape" it certainly does not remain "all sex acts". That's just logically necessary. You're making a mistake. The set in question is not the set of all sex. It's the set of all sex wherein a woman says no or stop. Within that set, the behavior you see in the video is, by the numbers, most likely not rape. (again, discounting the hasty exit). My point is that the vast majority of sex that looks like rape is not rape. When we see something that looks like rape, that is the set we're dealing with, not the set of all sex. Public service, there's about 30 seconds at the end where he pulls off the condom and starts, presumably, fucking her in the ass. She says no, makes pain sounds, and puts up a bit of a fight. I buy it, that is, that affairs(at least for men) are more about desire than sex. It makes total sense: the sex ratifies the legitimacy of the desire. Obviously, men cheat because on a biological level they want to spread their seed far and wide, but that desire to spread one's seed finds a social expression in the desire to be desired. This seems to motivate these "I'm going to fuck your gf" type posts; many people reading this sub don't have the kind of game to retain a woman, so posts like that serve as particularly cruel reminders of certain people's inadequacy. There's no content in these posts that is both true (for example, the claim that illicit sex is…

There's also the possibility that the married men are being more discrete than the unmarried men. I'm married; my wife often initiates, sucks me off whenever I want, we fuck whenever I want, dresses up, anal whenever I (or she) want, I cum wherever I want, recruit other girls for certain purposes in the open, etc., etc. The "dirtiest" sex act isn't dirty when you can do it whenever the fancy takes you. So even the dirty things become just not field report worthy if a married man is doing it righ…

I don't know why you're getting downvotes. There's a world of difference between living in a country where misandry is essentially enshrined in law (the United States) and where men are expected to be normally male (most of Asia, parts of South America). The level of paranoia required in the former is high, in the latter, much lower.

Making decisions is hard. Taking risks is hard. Why would a woman do it if she didn't have to, especially when men are psychologically and biologically configured to be more comfortable taking risks?

I would change "does not entertain criticism" to something else. An alpha male =/= know it all and can benefit from constructive criticism as he advances towards his goals. In fact, he probably must receive and carefully consider criticism from those well placed to give it if he wants to advance at all. I'm pretty sure you know that, and so I think the criticism bit doesn't say quite what you meant to say.

If the only thing that changes your opinion is personal experience then you're in a bad way. The problem is that even if your personal experience did change, you could interpret it to reflect your bias. The second problem is that your anecdotes (and even all of your life is just one long anecdote) doesn't constitute data. Rigorous statistics offers us a way to see beyond our personal bias. Of course it isn't perfect, and stats people don't claim that it is. But it is perfectly scientific in that…

Remember: the only thing that you can actually prove with social "science" is how people respond to a survey. Wow, what an insight. it's almost like statisticians go to school for years and never think about how people might lie or misrepresent their views on a survey! Hey OP. Plausible deniability is key. I don't stand by the first rule of red pill. My wife is clued in, and although it took a lot of hammer and tongs work, she understands it rationally. She finds it convenient to forget and doesn't necessarily like to be reminded. It'll help if you can make intelligent comments about relationships that your wife's friends have. In this case, the hamster is your ally. Even if you have cutting insight into other relationships, your wife won't necessarily put 2 a…

Threesomes, foursomes, moresomes. Get sexually experimental in a way that is kosher for the relationship, but still puts you into regular potential sexual contact with other girls. If you're desirable as you sound, why aren't girls offering you BJs on Tinder, and if they are, why doesn't she know about it? If she has half a brain she has already briefed her ex and instructed him to lie in a way that will corroborate her story(if he wouldn't have lied anyway). Right. But he is two years in and AWALT, no? So if he destroys the marriage he does nothing to solve the underlying problem, which was created by his behavior. If he likes this woman and she likes him, he gains nothing by ending it that he wouldn't by getting a mistress (if necessary or preferable for self-esteem / SMV elevation reasons) and taking control of his life. He has to make her, by his behavior, into the kind of woman that won't do this. Otherwise the situation will just repeat itself.…

I think we've disagreed on this before. Especially given AWALT, I don't think that a single mistake like this (or even a group of undiscovered) mistakes merits nexting. She wasn't trying to hurt him; she was just trying to make herself feel better. The vitriol we feel towards cheating women is very caveman, but the circumstances that gave rise to those reactions no longer obtain. I don't quite get it either, and I hope some other wiser man can explain it in this thread. But my wife and other high quality (intelligent, low partner count) women that I've been with have also identified this as a very desirable trait. So those bachelors' greatness was enhanced by the absence of women, but the presence of women in the cases of great married men is evidence of nothing? And how many great men could you list who were also married with children? I suspect that you could probably generate a similarly large list. There is no question that if you fail to manage your household in an appropriate way, a relationship can drag you down. I think it's worth mentioning that weakness and strength (connected to any quality) are relative. Find a good match and whatever you "innate" (or maybe just current) level of weakness is will be attractive to whoever you're with. If the man is too strong or the woman too weak, she'll be crushed by the force of his personality. If she's too strong, and he's too weak, she'll either cheat or have no respect for him. Neither are good for an LTR.

My objection to this isn't that the stats are faulty, but that it's impossible to know what "bin" you fall into. A lot gets said on this site about the importance of being in the top 20% of men. The lowest response rate is 17%, potentially within the papers margin of error. I have only a circumstantial interpretation of the evidence, plus my life experience and that of my family (we're almost all of us are various shades or brown married to white people or asians), but based on that once you've …

So much Liberal Arts hate in this thread. STEM degrees do not teach critical thinking the same way that liberal arts degrees do. I live in a country that is STEM obsessed, and it produces the most machine-like, obedient, efficient workers you could imagine. They have very little appreciation for intellectual beauty (relative to their more liberally educated peers) and barely have the ability to concentrate because they're used to working through solid problems and getting technical answers. I only have one thing to add to the very good "be honest" advice that you've already read here. It might also help if you disclosed your previous sexual history to him (if you haven't already) and were open to any questions. In your situation, from a man's point of view, waiting is tolerable. But the last thing we want is to be told to wait by a girl who has already been giving it away for less than we've already committed. You might have some trouble getting him to believe you, but do whatever'…

Except it isn't magic. Fundamentally it's just self-knowledge. If anyone has ears to hear and a mind to understand, they should, and will be better for it. I love my wife, why would I rob her of the opportunity to improve her life and happiness by withholding this knowledge?

I dunno. I'm still a bit of an evangelist, especially in "hostile" territory. It's good fun unmasking girls' husband requirements as the shallow drivel it actually is. My favorite is "responsible" == has money. Anyway, I don't see any harm in telling the truth in public, on Facebook, wherever. You never know who's listening or where a good idea can stick. I should mention that I run my own business, so none of these views can get me fired, for what it's worth.

The nice, if potentially perilous, thing about being completely open with LTRs about the red pill is that, once it sinks in, it completely immunizes the woman against feminist bullshit. I couldn't imagine my wife trying to point out qualities in a clearly feminist article and implying that I should adopt them. Her brain would literally have to be forced by an evil demon into a different time space continuum, time travel backwards, relive the last 4 years at hyperspeed, and catch up to me. Possib…

She is, but she likes them less. I think they're a bit too traditional and judgey for her. Because I was so transparent, we spent a lot of time doing brass tack analysis of the social dynamics RP talks about, logically stepping through each point. I've been with both Russian and Asian born and raised women, as well as Americans. I didn't have to do anything differently, but they did seem to show different patterns of attraction than the average american. Accented maybe, rather than totally different. Because Women are entitled to a career. Kids are a sacrifice because motherhood is something inflicted by the evil penis on the holy uterus. When divorce happens, women must continue to be compensated for this evil inflicted on them by the perpetrator. It's just the logical continuation of the idea that heterosexual sex is bad. Men don't want to spend time with kids; they want to have kids to perpetuate the patriarchy and a slave to take care of them. Any time a woman agrees to "sacrifice" a car…

Hmmm...that's true. Like I said, I'd be happy to revise it by up to to 50%. So round 3.6 to 4 and add two, and we get 6. So we're more or less on the same page. I still think there's a large constituency of relatively chaste girls that don't get the air time they deserve since they're largely invisible to people looking in places where they're most likely to get sex. That 3.6 number doesn't seem batshit to me (and I'm in the 25 - 30 demographic) probably because I never spent any time in bars in…

I think we might be contributing to the problem by calling girls with low counts unicorns. We should have an expectation that an LTR worthy girl, generally, has a low count. They definitely exist in the right places. It doesn't make them unicorns, it just makes them not whores.

At a minimum, this is not optimal from your perspective. It doesn't matter how long she's been an ex, there will probably always be something there. That said, it's nothing to make too much of a fuss about. From a man's point of view, having other girls around as "friends" is a great way to keep a current S.O. on her toes. I don't think that being involved in a male dominance hierarchy is much of a demerit. If a religious Muslim keeps his prayers private (doesn't tap his forehead to Mecca in the middle of the quad) I think he'd be ok on that score. It depends on what the local perception of Islam is. This sort of thing is impossible to know for sure. Correlation isn't causation, etc. etc., but if white men tended to prefer Asian American Women to White American Women 2:1 (or in similar proportion to the obesity gap), then I'd be pretty persuaded that the weight was explanatory factor. I was wondering if obesity rates among asian and white women could be used to explain why men in the U.S. often have a marked preference for Asian women. Lo and Behold, according to HHS, only 9.3% of Asian Americans are obese compared to almost 25% of White Americans. The obese numbers are more useful than the "overweight" numbers, because BMI is a fairly poor indicator of body size (and I think the sample reads more true if you only consider the "extreme" end of the scale as truly overweight). …

To reiterate a post below, being emotionally shallow won't make you more logical. No dispute, emotional shallowness is part of the affect of a pyschopath, but I don't know if it's a part of his mental make up. http://bigthink.com/experts-corner/decisions-are-emotional-not-logical-the-neuroscience-behind-decision-making This link gives evidence that if you can't feel emotion at all, you're unable to make decisions. Not exactly sure what the connection is between rational thinking and decision mak…

Yeah. I feel all the people talking about how the idea of this sub is to become the best version of yourself and have sex come as consequence. It isn't the main objective; which is a touch counter-intuitive. But, you're not wrong. I live in Vietnam, and women here know that they have to offer enough to make a man abandon his whoring ways, or no dice. That said, if we only fucked hookers, all women would just become hookers (or rather, hookers of the formal, rather than informal sort). Edit: also…

I agree, 100%. While AWALT, I think some subset of women has some sort of understanding, either arrived at on their own or given to them by female family, that letting their hypergamy run wild / becoming unrealistically entitled will eventually doom them to disappointment. So they husband-up promising young men usually by the time they're 25 and build the relationship equity which, while totally absent for women, many men feel acutely (my wife just turned 26, we've been together for four, marrie…

Not really. One person had ideas in his head as to the acceptability of mass murder, the other did not. Actions are reducible to ideas. I agree that a particular idea probably doesn't kill people (although that depends on how you want to define "idea"). But sets of ideas certainly kill people. The only difference between the mass murderer and the guy who doesn't murder are their ideas

At the risk of splitting hairs, ideas absolutely kill people. This is because people are essentially composed of ideas. It's why ideas are so powerful. "Nationalism", "Rape Culture", the "State". All these are ideas powerful enough to compel people to kill. I get what you're saying, that people make decisions and cause death. But a person is nothing more or less than the sum of his ideas and convictions. Guns don't kill people, people kill people is accurate; but ideas do kill people because ide…

Problem is, no matter what you say, unless it is a agrees with the standard feminist line, it really means that you hate women. Anything that doesn't jive with the line threatens the narrative, and we can't have that. Anything you hate, you must want to destroy. It's interesting, a lot of it has to do with overt / covert communication I think. When you say "NEXT" what do you really mean? "NEXT" is hateful to women (since it implies that any given woman is of less than infinite value), and if you…

Only on those rare occasions when I make the mistake of talking about it objectively with women. At this point, the women in my life are pretty happy; but they explicitly don't want to hear any more about this mysterious and enraging process by which they become so. Which is cool with me.

Sure. The worst thing for me is always willful misrepresentation of the evidence. What makes modern feminism so toxic isn't the theory, it's the way that people who hold the theory refuse to have their beliefs challenged by evidence to the contrary. So it's quite nice to see a woman, who identifies as a feminist, in dire straits, not misrepresenting the evidence. We could put this whole feminist thing behind us if more people were willing to stare the evidence in the face and draw the logical co…

She at least gets credit for identifying the sources of legit hostility: other women. Also, def not a 6 if you're into Jewy looking petite girls. The worst thing about her work is that she doesn't really seem to enjoy it all that much.

I feel like I have something constructive to add to this, but I'm struggling. Plato, Aristotle, and the like so often answered questions by changing the target. For example, a big part of Aristotle's notion of "happiness" (eudaimonia - which itself means something like good-souledness) is getting better at something that you value (or rather, something that has positive ethical value i.e. is virtuous). Certainly, that has something to it, but, even if I can't tell you exactly what I meant by "ha…

Cis, means "on the near side" of some relevant boundary in Latin. Caesar talks about the "cisalpine Gauls", or the Gallic tribes on the side of the alps nearest Rome. Classics degree, true story.

To decry this state of affairs underrates how great a business partner can be.

Even Jiu-Jitsu. No question jits is better on the ground (if you had to have only one). But wrestling's rules make it much more physically (and mentally) grinding.

Seeing this though, and thinking of how this subject is treated when the genders are reversed, really makes me realize how completely this double standard has a grip on my soul.

I don't know if this is a legit application of dread game, but ideally, cooking for you is something that she and nearly no one else, outside of a restaurant does. Basically, it's a way that she can uniquely set herself apart from every other attractive woman you interact with. So when you start cooking for her (which should really be cooking for you in sufficient quantity to feed two), you take this away. It's a nice little double-whammy. You're "sharing chores, spending time together" a la MMS…

That's rough. In college, whenever I had a close girl friend (one or two), I would tell her explicitly that I wasn't interested and that if I ever became interested I would tell her, but that our friendship was essentially predicated on our mutual non-attraction. At the time, this was mostly done to reassure her that I wasn't secretly trying to get with her (which I wasn't). But those conditions are the only ways I've ever been able to be friends with a girl, only ever, by following an explicitl…
