No matter how fast someone learns there's always more. There's parts that fit in next to or around what they're learning. Reading information that is related but not the same allows you to contribute with much less total energy input.

he'll be a shitty Dad. Buuuuuuullllshiiiiiit. The qualities that go into making a good father are far more complex and nuanced than where you are assigned on a five-point social scale. There is a unpredictable transformation that happens in men when they have children that reinterprets them for their new life. Many clever, and independently minded men have made excellent fathers that inspire their children to be curious, open-minded and questioning.

How many of you started out as feminists? Yep. I was a feminist-activist-ally type. I used to make signs and do child-care to support feminist organisations. What would need to change in feminism you to "return" to the feminist movement? Nothing in all the world could convince me to go back. Feminism is a beehive that produces poison instead of honey.

How it used to be: Dads weren't welcome in 'family' rooms. How it is now: Family rooms have signs saying 'dads welcome' so everyone knows that's how it is now. How it will be in the future: Family room signs won't say 'dads welcome' because everyone knows dads are family. Progress is being made.

That's why it's important to call out woman hate when we see it. There is a real risk that bitter, damaged men will hear of a sub full of misogyny and come to get in on the circle jerk. I'd much rather keep it as it is, a sub full of bitter, damaged men trying to stumble our way to some kind of justice in a deeply imperfect world.
