If you want something, you should tell her. I can't imagine saying "I really want tonight to just be us" would cause problems. Also if you've been hanging out with her family it sounds like things are going well. If you're both under the impression that you're going to be in a relationship then you could have a fairly casual conversation saying that you really like her and want to be with her. Even if her sister ends up coming tonight you and her could plan a fun date in the coming week.

I don't see anyone actually speaking from experience. I used to be in the exact same position. I would set up dates or a girl would show interest in hanging out, but when it came time to actually go on a date they would always flake. Why would they flake when even when they wanted to hang out? I found that I was making the date too intense. For example I'd invite them to a picnic with some homemade bread on the first date. It wasn't always that but it was always something so non casual. Bit late to start but here we go Day 1: 9.5 hours I went to bed at 11:30 woke up sometime after the sun came up for what I feel like was 30 minutes, then got up for work at 9am
