Broscience, a satire fitness channel, just put out a video on the subject of "Dadbod", it was the only thing I had heard about it until this thread. His take on it is the opposite, that a fit woman will look for a "Dadbod" because they are easy to get and it gives her the upper hand in the relationship. Edit: Here's a paraphrase of something he says at the start of the video. it's easy, it's all about her and they tell her exactly what she wants to hear

I really, really hope that Colbert shows her to be what she is, like all the bigots before...however I have recently seen too many feminist propaganda pieces on Daily Show, Colbert Report and Last Week Tonight to believe that will actually happen. If the quality of the rest of the shows wasn't so high I'd have stopped watching by now. Edit: a word

I have a feeling that the first time many are hearing about MRM/MRA is when they are accused of being one due to support of #GamerGate, so it has at least raised awareness. I didn't even know GG was still a thing until just a few days ago when I caught a glimpse of /r/KotakuInAction through the wall of censorship in /r/games and /r/gaming. There is a massive amount of information and evidence gathered now.

I know how hard it can be for a man to seek psychological treatment and support. I had an event in my life which resulted in PTSD but I suffered through months of severe depression and anxiety before finally going to see a GP. I didn't even have a GP at the time because going to the doctor just wasn't something I did. Edit: Even once I did get help I had to struggle to accept that I would need to be on medication.

Personally I have been rather disappointed with The Daily Show as of late. Several times in the last couple of weeks they have been pushing the "Pay Gap" lie. Edit: To clarify, I had been expecting them to call President Obama out on it, instead they criticise him for not doing enough.

You have the benefit of higher minimum wages. In America, most ECE positions in centers are around $9/hour. I think teachers in general get paid better here as well. I was making more than that straight out of high school on a traineeship, that's ridiculous. Many facilities have rules for males that state they cannot change infant diapers, for a start, or that they cannot supervise potty breaks. Those are two, but there are probably several more. The amount of sideways looks, extra rules to protect the facility, extra rules to protect yourself, and insidious whispers that will sour your work relationships is absolutely not worth the meager pay. Could I get you to go into more detail, please? What are the extra rules in place and are they specifically for the male staff (even it's just implied to be so)? I was more concerned about being in constant contact with children. Being accused of touching a kid carries a much harsher reaction than touching a co-worker. It's kind of nice that your first thought was the adult co-worker's though.

I would hazard a guess that an example of psychological rape would be a step parent who keeps "accidentally" walking in on a ward in various states of undress, constantly makes thinly veiled comments about their ward's sexual attractiveness. Perhaps they buy them adult/overly revealing clothing and underwear. Repeated "accidental" or overly familiar touching. Due to the relationship as step parent and ward there would be a feeling of helplessness.

Forgot to add it into the title but she says it at around 2:35 in the video. You know, if you were a little more manly you would tell the liberals what your position on employment discrimination is. How about that? But it’s always ‘We want to legalize pot.' There are many more things to dislike about this woman but this one part particularly caught my attention.

Not just your own children. I cannot find it, but there was a big thread a while back about men being accused of things like kidnapping a child who is theirs, or having the police called on them at a park, etc. Crazy things like one employee taking a father's child and running off to the back room to call the police because the child was playing around and saying that he wasn't their dad. Edit: Not sure if this is the right one but it has similar stories.

Ah, well to be honest Tony Abbott is a bit a knob. I always found it weird when they kept praising her as the first female Prime Minister of Australia. She stole the position, then couldn't even win the election afterwards. She only kept power due to the preferential votes from the Greens and luring a couple of independents to side with her to avoid a hung parliament.
