1	Anon is right I can absolutely get behind the idea of straight toxic expectations on all sides. However we'd be remise to acknowledge that these come from gender stereotypes alone. Women are expected to be soft and quiet, while men are expected to be strong and loud. So when someone challenges those expectations they're instantly outcast or shamed for whatever they're doing. 0	Anon is right I'm here because I'm actively trying not to live in my own bubble. I don't agree with a lot of things I see in this sub, or rather, the way they are approached. I dated a man who recently had gone through a divorce and had a young daughter stuck in the middle and his trash ex was trying to gain full custody. Same focus, liberating men from the socially constructed norms and pitfalls, with much more action. So yes, I do see it there. -5	Anon is right I see your point about toxic femininity, however I disagree on the reason why women wear makeup. Cleopatra wore eyeliner in part to ward off infections. Makeup didn't become a mainstream beauty product until the 50s really when I would agree the height of this toxic femininity began. -30	Anon is right A men's shelters near me recently closed, not due to feminists, but from lack of funding. These types of shelters are seen as less necessary or too expensive. That's a problem with our state and local goverments, which, unsurprisingly are mostly run by men. Feminism seeks to make life better for all, so that people don't have to subscribe to what society thinks is being a man or being a woman but simply dismantling that for all.
