That’s basically correct. If you lie with intent to harm another legally, you should be punished with a similar sentence your victim would have received if you were successful. No, your statement would be demonstratively false. I can’t have murdered you, you’re right there. A better analogy would be to hurt yourself, say with a hammer, and claim I did it. You are trying to manipulate the system to destroy an innocents life.
