Men choose family over happiness. Women choose happiness over family. Women seem to move on faster. But the reality is they just detached from there partner and family well before theu announced their departure.

My personal experience... My ex-wife was the same. I made enough for us to live comfortably. She did everything she could to avoid getting a job. But when I would get home the house was a straight mess, the kids needed food, she wanted a dog that she wouldnt take outside so there was sh*t I'd have to clean up. She had another parent take out 1st grader to and from achool so she wouldnt have to drive the 3 blocks..Every chore I would come home to because she was busy binging dumb reality shows. I…

Only you know when the time is right for you. But the reason people say stay away from dating for awhile is because your full of emotion and not thinking... at least not with your upper head. Your going to become attached quickly and to people you dont want to be attached to. And its going to draw out everything out and make it worse.

Get an attorney, sounds like it wont be contested. And move forward one step at a time. Its cliche to say "work on yourself" but thats the truth and not just "get a gym membership" but also get some therapy to process the heavy load of emotions that flooding you right now. It will help you process so you can find that path forward. Instead of going it alone and it dragging you down for years before you realize it.

My ex wife was the same. We got married young and I had a career that would support us both. She would get little part time jobs and complain about them. Thats when she wasnt outright refusing to get one. . Near the end i paid for her to.go.to.school (which she doeant use to this day and still does the minimum effort.) Turns out she had borderline personality disorder which is why she was lazy. It doesnt make them inherently lazy but it does kill there ambition and drive. And other things you ha…

Get with an attorney to help you get everything set up and safe for damage control and when thats done file for divorce. Dont leave the house and document everything with dates and times and eventually you will want to video interactions. Stay cool and let her be the one looking like a nut. Its pretty clear she has already found someone else she just wants to be a leech. I would wager she has probably been unfaithful a lot during your marriage. Going off what you have told us she has said.

If a person needs CS in order to "keep a roof over their child's head" then maybe they shouldn't be the custodial parent.

To be fair I rarely wore mine. I was in the military and my job required me to take it off and on.. off and on.. and so forth... I lost my original one and had some cheap ones I lost as well. Pretty sure the ex pawned the one I gave her off for some cash to impress some lower she didnt know was married and she was nothing more then a side hoe.

Its a pretty common borderline narcissistic trait. She went to see if the grass was greener, and while she has no intentions of being with you ever. She doesnt want you to be happy with someone else... she doesnt want the grass to be greener because of someone else. This actually can help you out as women who are like this can ans will be stupid. You just need to stay calm and let her dig a hole. My Ex was like this and while I lost some time with my son and was always angry. I never let her see…

Depends on if kids are involved in the divorce and her diagnosis (75% survival or terminal.) But ultimately you dont want to stop. Tragedy always brings people together. And either she will drag you down with her while she is going through it or suddenly you will reconnect she will get through it and... you will be where you are now once it wears off.

So what happened was my ex had been playing stupid games. We had just moved across the country and we bought a bunch of house stuff we didnt need before and were making payments on it. The stuff had both our names on it so she kept calking them up to come get it saying we didnt need it. They would drive the hour to get it and either I wasnt there or had to tell them "Is it all paid up? Then i am keeping it so stop coming out." One day she had them come out for like the 10th time and she showed u…

The guy that convinced my ex after months to leave me showed up at my house with her once. I told him to get off my property or I would fuck him up. I had just gotten out of the military and was in the best shape of my life... plus the guy was like 5'3.... he ran and hide in her car. 3 months later theu broke up when his fiance gave birth to their kid... oops she was the side hoe... both of them have gotten it back 10x since.

Never move out. I get why guys want to.... but dont. Try and keep your distance as much as possible and 100% record your interactions. This sounds earily similar to my ex wife. Married 7 years 2 kids. She was basically cheating at the end talking to.guys and sending pictures. While going through it she went out and got tattoos and a nose ring. Well after the divorce (I won if you want to call it winning.) She was diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder. Which explained a lot of whay happe…

I have, but not for a serious mental health issue. I do it now and then basically so I can rant and decompress and figure out the steps I need to take to get over a slump. You only get what you put into it when it comes to therapy. My ex wife for example cant be honest with her self much less a therapist. This leads to therapy not doing anything for her. I think this applies to a lot of redditors (not any particular sub.) There are a lot of bitter and angry people her that have almost no self ac…

If women are in a relationship were they work and do all the household duties, then they arent really in a relationship. I split all the house stuff with my girlfriend because we both work. At one point I was between jobs so I took over all the household chores. I scheduled out what days I had to do what M-F. It took all of 3 hours to do everything. Did a few application and phone calls then binged Netflix played games. If I didnt have the need to work I would 100% without hesitation be a stay a…

1) My ex got a Pro Bono attorney. He was actually the county prosecutor looking to make his way to being a judge. 2.5 years into it I go see my attorney and I see my Ex's attourney leaving the building. So I ask if they finally were doing stuff about my Divorce which was moving at a snails pace. He told me no. That they often worked on cases together and that he was going to move into one of the rooms down the hall.... I fired him right there. When my next attorney requested everything he had...…

Yeah for some guys maybe its insecurity... For me a high body count is 100% a red flag. I feel the same way towards both men and women. A high body count tells me the person doesnt have the ability to make good decisions. It tells me they likely had a series of 1 nighters (risky behavior) and/or a series of failed short term relationships where the common denominator is said individual. Its a funny train of thought reading this comments. Its not a man being insecure because he doesnt want a 25 y…

Baggage.... The older a woman is the more they seem to have. A guy doesnt want to be treated like trash because the women he is dating had a bad relationship 7 years ago so all men are the same. Guys dont want that woman that decided to be party and be the town bicycle were everyone got a ride. Now they are ready to settle down afte 4 kids and 3 baby daddies... no guy wants to be the consolation prize...

My ex is like this. She basically buys a dog each year and then after 5-6 months gives it away or takes it to a shelter... then a few months later gets another one.. rinse and repeat. She literally es in income based housing and collects SNAP and whatever else. Gets mad because she has no money (Split 50/50 but our son stays with me 90% of the time and I don't pay CS.) But she bought a motorcycle (a guy she dated for a few months had one so she had to get one to be cool.) Last month she bought a…

I absolutely disagree with this. Anytime discussions of rape/SA/DV happens its almost always a die hard feminist that wants to downplay or ignore that is does happen to men and that its vastly understandable reported because of how its treated.

Anecdotal evidence here. Just from what I have seen on Facebook, the vast number of men calling her "mid" are from a different demographic. Its not that she is mid, its because she isnt one of them.

Texas has a cap on Child support per child. So it makes it not as bad but most states they go off "income." But that doesnt mean anything. In Missouri men start off with like $1,500 while the woman starts off at zero. Then they plug o. How much you get paid each month and other sources of income. My ex was making aboit what I was but she was pulling in a lot of CS from her first kid. At the end it came out with her ahead of me just slightly... so they wanted 52% of my pay each month. I am glad s…

This entire post had me going "whaaa??" Because its really bad. The reality is women have ridiculous standards. Why? Because they have the illusion of choice thrust onto them by social media. They have quantity over quality. And choose low quality guys over and over because they are great arm candy. Guys settle because they have 2 choices typically. 1) They end up with someone that is below them because the women in their "league" have inflated ego because of quantity. And wont give them the tim…

What? No... Alimony is spousal support. It means that all man has to notify only pay for his kids but pay for his wife to "maintain her standard of living." It has zero to do with kids. After the Divorce in no way should one person be picking up the slack of another adult they arent with.

Our family court system treats it like its the 1920's Women dont have jobs, women dont have bank accounts, women are the best at being a parent... and so forth. They can both make the same amount and split custody 50/50 and they will still make the man pay out of his ass for child support and/or alimony.

He's not ready to be with anyone right now. He still had a lot of unresolved issues and he is trying to force a relationship. I went through the same thing. When I got divorced I was pretty pushy and the victim and just not a good version of myself. So I had a lot of chaotic short relationships. When I finally figured it out, I took care of myself and I was a different person. So here's the thing... let's say tomorrow he suddenly fixes himself and he is doing great. So, I was in the Army. My ex-wife pulled this shit all the time. Constant threats of Divorce, constant "I am leaving you!" I went to SAPPER school and she told me if I left she wouldn't be there when I got home. Well... she was there when I got off the plane when I returned. In the end it is like when you hear people breaking up and one of them talks about killing themselves. Its nothing more then a manipulation tactic to try and keep control of the other person. I doubt she will actually do.it and its an idol threat. Also courts dont like to modify things especially if they have been in place with no issues for years. So 8nless there was some drastic change with you then... she will get laughed out of the court room and thats if she can find an attorney.

Yes they can get you if its your word vs hers... they will take hers. You have to document everything. Written and video when you can. If she is saying g you are abusive. Take your kids to see a therapist individually and have the therapist document that the kids are saying its not happening and they arent being forced into saying it isnt. You need to get your stuff in order and get a divorce and move were you have a support system. As someone who was in the military for over a decade and then had a couple of post military "uniformed jobs." I can tell you, most of the men will bang anything with a hole between their legs and the women are worse. I once saw a girl come out of a barracks room wearing skimping lingerie. Walk to the next room go inside for 30 mins come out and go to the next one. And she was absolutely hideous looking…

It ranges from how property and assets should be divided to what to do about kids and support when they have them, pets whatever. They can be thrown out, but they are a good buffer. Typically when they are thrown out its due to things like fraud, coercion, if a spouse has an accident and is paralyzed from the neck down and the divorce gets filed right after... that kind of stuff. If its on the up and up they go through.

When marriage means something to both people it can be amazing. When one or both wipe their ass with the paper they both signed then its a shit show. No man... I will say it again for the guys in the back NO MAN should ever ger married without a prenup. If she isnt willing to sign it then she isnt their because she loves you... your just a meal ticket.

I am a little mad cause I had this idea 2 years ago. Dating a app were (both men and women) can make comments like "so and so ghosted." And then after so many individual comments like that there would be a little AI text like Amazon does on products that sums up reviews. I just wasnt sure how to do it without it being abused.. Someone probably saw it and made it into something..

You mentioned marriage counseling, but have you and her done any individual counseling? It sounds like you have things going on that is seeping into your marriage and rather then focus on that you're focusing on her weight and hitting it with a hammer... I got divorced so I understand the sadness and depression that comes with it. But men need to know its not the end. Its in fact the beginning of a new chapter. I think guys get scared about it because of all the horror stories (which there are a lot of.) But once come out of it... its freeing. So here's the thing you may not want to hear..it depends on what is being documented because if its just some texts or "on such and such day at this ti.e she called me an asshole." Secondly its not like physical abuse where you can have pictures and/police reports. So it really turns into a he said she said. It took me a couple of years to actually be serious about dating. I wasnt in the right mindset and tried to date because my ex cheated on me and ran off with some guy. I read the comments and... sounds like you have a shit attorney. It took me 3 to get one that wasnt jerking themselves off while reaching into my pocket. My exes attorney was stalimg and wouldn't respond to anything. I went to the courtroom (which i didnt need to) and he would request it to be continued over and over. The actual divorce no. She was a horrible person and had I known who she really was we never would have gotten married. I hate that I spent my younger days of adventuring with someone that didnt deserve it. I am deeply conflicted some times and feel bad wondering what my life would be like today if we had never met. I initiated the Divorce but she is the one that walked out which made things easier i guess. She took a lot of medication that she hid very well while we were dating. After we got married she decided she didnt need it cause everything was great. Document document document... I had a folder and each page had a laminated copy of the parental plan along with a blank sheet of paper. I would record times and dates she would break things in the agreement. Whether it was visitation, making medical and school choices without my consent. It would be in your best interest to do the same so you can drop a packet of how she has been regularly breaking the agreement with dates and times paired with what the agreement says.

If her income has changed and she is making significantly more (who she is with income doesn't matter) then she isnt going to get "more." Just dont let her know you are taking her back to get it adjusted or she will drop her jobs and play the "see i dont make any money" game. I would also recommend getting an attorney for it and have them file a subpoena for her bank records for the last 1-2 years. I gave my ex wife "main custodial parent" because it made her feel better and I used it as leverage. I dont know of any place that CS is based on % of custody. It's based on income disparity. Even if you had custody 60/40 if you make a lot more then you would still be paying her. It's really stupid. But is sounds like she wants that CS $$$ and give you some weird days where she gets the weekends and you get them when she wants to go out and do whatever and you can play babysitter.
