| 0 | The pro-choice crowd "suddenly" becomes anti-choice the second anyone dares try to advocate for the male right to choose (to not pay child support)to give the child up for adoption you need her consent. So no, you can't choose parenthood. I literally said if both choose because the person who gives birth also needs the ncp's permission to give it up for adoption. Also the ncp never has to sign the birth certificate unless the courts mandate they be put on. And again, paying childsupport is not parenthood. So yes, they do get a say in whether they're a parent or not. paying child support are parenthood responsibilites if you force them on m… | /r/MensRights | 26/05/21 05:40 AM |
| 0 | The pro-choice crowd "suddenly" becomes anti-choice the second anyone dares try to advocate for the male right to choose (to not pay child support)false, only women can choose parenthood. This is incorrect. First of all, they can both give it up for adoption if neither of them want to be a parent. Second, only paying child support is not parenthood. And even if it wasn't from to context you should know that choosing parenthood in this context means don't have any responsibility forced on you. So you are being dishonest No, I'm not being dishonest. Parenthood requires being an actual parent to a child. It requires a lot more than just sendi… | /r/MensRights | 26/05/21 04:46 AM |
| 0 | The pro-choice crowd "suddenly" becomes anti-choice the second anyone dares try to advocate for the male right to choose (to not pay child support)Yes, they can both choose parenthood, but parenthood isn't necessarily going through pregnancy and childbirth or paying child support. You can do both of those things while choosing not to be a parent. You're right, it shouldn't matter than finances are not comparable to a human being, but people keep trying to compare the two. | /r/MensRights | 26/05/21 04:25 AM |
| 1 | The pro-choice crowd "suddenly" becomes anti-choice the second anyone dares try to advocate for the male right to choose (to not pay child support)That's an insult. You really are slow. And that's what ad hominem is. It's when you attack the person instead of attacking their argument. So again, nice ad hom Where did I "literally" do that? You said that it's comparable because you made it comparable. That's the same as saying that it's comparable because you say it is. So which is it? Are things not something just because someone says it is or not? I didn't rely on emotionally manipulative rhetoric about "importance" and "lives" but I can: … | /r/MensRights | 25/05/21 04:13 PM |
| 2 | The pro-choice crowd "suddenly" becomes anti-choice the second anyone dares try to advocate for the male right to choose (to not pay child support)Ad hominem? Where is that? 😐 Right here: Since you're slow Saying they are not comparable because I say so and bolting on some mindless emotionally manipulative rhetoric about people's lives is a fallacious argument much closer to "ad hominem". This is really funny and ironic because you literally just did that but with saying that they are comparable. You know what's a fallacious argument? Making a false equivalence like saying that finances and going through childbirth and pregnancy are compar… | /r/MensRights | 25/05/21 02:53 PM |
| 0 | The pro-choice crowd "suddenly" becomes anti-choice the second anyone dares try to advocate for the male right to choose (to not pay child support)Nice ad hominem. But they're still not comparable. Just because both are ways to take responsibility doesn't mean they're comparable. Newsflash, people's bodies and lives are way more important than finances. You don't risk your life by paying child support. | /r/MensRights | 25/05/21 02:08 PM |
| 0 | The pro-choice crowd "suddenly" becomes anti-choice the second anyone dares try to advocate for the male right to choose (to not pay child support)This doesn't show how finances and going through pregnancy and childbirth are comparable. Newsflash, they're not | /r/MensRights | 25/05/21 01:27 AM |
| 0 | The pro-choice crowd "suddenly" becomes anti-choice the second anyone dares try to advocate for the male right to choose (to not pay child support)That is over in 9 months The effects of pregnancy and childbirth aren't over in 9 months. There are some short term effects, sure. But there are many effects that last a lifetime and there are many effects that could permanently disable someone or even kill them. So no, it's not just 9 months. a woman has a choice not to go through that when she doesn't want a child. And like I've said over and over again, many PC's are 100% for the ncp having a choice to not be a parent too. A man's burden is l… | /r/MensRights | 24/05/21 09:55 PM |
| -1 | The pro-choice crowd "suddenly" becomes anti-choice the second anyone dares try to advocate for the male right to choose (to not pay child support)Okay? And I'm still confused as to what this has to do with anything that I said? Also, you do realize that child support is based off of income, right? It's a percentage of your income, not a set amount. There are people who have most of the custody of their child(ren) and have to pay child support to the parent that has little to no custody. It's not my business how someone decides to budget their money and whether that causes them to have to work extra or not. And that's still nothing compare… | /r/MensRights | 24/05/21 09:32 PM |
| -2 | The pro-choice crowd "suddenly" becomes anti-choice the second anyone dares try to advocate for the male right to choose (to not pay child support)Okay? What does any of this have to do with what I said? I said that finances are not comparable to a human being, meaning that you can't call someone a hypocrite like OP was for being for one and not for the other. And I said that I know a lot of PC's that are for the ncp being able to sign away their rights so they don't have to pay child support, meaning that whether that exists right now or not, there are many PC's that are in favor of it Edit: typo | /r/MensRights | 24/05/21 09:18 PM |
| -1 | The pro-choice crowd "suddenly" becomes anti-choice the second anyone dares try to advocate for the male right to choose (to not pay child support)First of all, finances are not comparable to someone's body. Second of all, I know a lot of pro choicers who are more than happy to allow the ncp to sign away their rights to their child(ren) so they don't have to pay child support. Keep in mind, signing away your rights means you don't get to come back years later and demand to have a relationship with the child(ren). In the eyes of the law you would be nothing more than a stranger. | /r/MensRights | 24/05/21 05:22 PM |
