I knowthe articles around this specific example and basically it was built-in bias from the training data. They fed it the previous year's worth of resumes and the ai noticed women get hired at a ratio of 20% so it followed the same pattern with new resumes as well. First they just fed it all the previous years CVs and it picked up that only 20% of women were hired so he started keeping tabs. That's not how it works you can't have contracts that agree to cut off your hand if you don't pay back the money. Same here any contract would come to court abd the court can break or support the contract if they feel it follows the letter of the law. However family court is not something you want to end up in as a man, it's not just the divorce/alimony laws that are biased but their interpretation and application as well.

Not sure they passed it, they wrote it up, but if it passes, their point is that it doesn't apply retroactively to the woman that inspired it. Still jaw dropping that they would, it shows the principle that once impregnated, politicians, the court, and women view the fertilized eggs as her property/responsability, with no regards about the father's feelings/intentions.

I can speculate on this one, it's usually the insemination part that doesn't guarantee success you would plant about 6 embrios and one or two catch as a pregnancy. So in their view they were happily married and wanted a kid together, this was their best chance fertilise all of them so you have enough later on to have successful impregnation. With the cancer and all they probably weren't scrutinizing all the scenarios all that well.

But if you want a good example of what you're saying search for Uber income difference per gender, that type of job is very flat and very competitive, see what differences become visible there and why.

You're wrong on this one. The feminists are arguing that you can see women generally get better pay especially at the beginning of their careers but due to discrimination they are not promoted. I think the argument goes like this if young women are paid better then men, then why after a few years men got promoted and got better salaries but not these women that are stuck on the same levels and salaries, clearly has to be discrimination in the workspace, while completely ignoring the 3 kids, years of personal time and lack of overtime put in.
