She's the opposite of right, LOTS of autopsies are being done right now, particularly on those who may have died of Covid but don't have test confirmation prior to death.

You don’t get to pick how the other guy responds when you assault them. Keep your hands and cheeseburgers to yourself.

I think part of the issue is not every woman is the same. A point they will happily, and rightly mind you, bring up whenever men generalize women but conveniently ignore as soon as they feel like painting every woman as having the same likes and dislikes as themselves.

Just gonna repost my comment (about the article) last time this tweet/article got posted: Man that's so obnoxious, particularly this paragraph; ...“I don’t care if you’re black, white, female, male, or polka-dot. All I care about is if you can do the job.” But if this performance-based meritocracy were true, getting the job done would encompass a variety of skills and talents at which both men and women and people of all races and ethnicities could potentially excel. However, as Felix Danbold an…

Bruh, you left out a rather important chunk of the sentence; by herself she has exactly 0 power as a junior member of the house. She's, as you said, 1/535th of the congress and can't do a damn thing without convincing a whole lot of people to agree with her. Getting a majority of Democrats to agree with her rhetoric is insanely difficult, to say nothing of Republicans. Meaning that she's not a boogeyman, and all my Fox News watching relatives can calm down and stop acting like she's the anti-Chr…

And she is a 1/535th voting member of our constitutional republic. Coincidentally, this is what I tell my frothing at the mouth Republican family members. They have such a hard on for this woman that they can't seem to remember that by herself she has exactly 0 power as a junior member of the house.

Oh, and on top of all of that, you have to deal with people saying things like “Nobody’s asking you to fight them, you just have to call them out!” Real easy to say when you know you’re not the one who’s going to get their ass kicked.

Yea, during nursing school last year we of course covered domestic violence and the relevant medical information for it. Whole chapter, probably 20-30 pages, never mentioned men once. All victims referred to exclusively as female, etc. Made me pretty sad honestly. Not even entertaining the idea that men could be victims.

Because they don't think highly of women simple as that. Feminists are the most sexist people out there, full stop. Men, by and large, have been ready to treat women the same as men for awhile now. Problem is, women don't like what that entails. Until women come to understand that men don't live in a hugbox and won't ever respect someone who does, nothing's going to change.

This is beyond insane. No one fires back, no one corrects her. My first thought as well. This whole line of thought is very clearly a succession of "sure thing dear, you sure are smart". I'm willing to bet no one's ever bothered to critique a thought she's had in her adult life.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm gonna go out on a limb and say women wouldn't be comfortable being literally half naked in front of perfect strangers (provided they're not wearing a skirt anyway). I'm sure plenty of you remember that one kid in elementary school who didn't quite understand that you were supposed to keep your pants up at the urinal, how smart did he look? Also, I'd put money on each one of those having a log of crap floating in them within 20 minutes.

I'd rather not share my restroom with women personally. All it takes is one to think she's too good to sit on the seat and its all over for the day. Lady 1 tries, and fails, to hover and makes a complete fucking mess. Now, each successive woman will refuse to sit, and just like her predecessor will fail horribly and only add to the train-wreck. I don't need that bullshit when I need to use the bathroom.

Given how detailed your posts have been, do you have equally detailed records of all this? Perhaps its time to hand a reporter a story. If your daughter is willing to confirm all this, and you have the paper to back it all up, you could make one hell of a statement of just how incredibly broken the family court system is. I understand completely if you want no part of that and would rather just enjoy your well deserved time with your daughter, just a thought.

This man is a fucking fool if he actually ties the knot. As fucked as alimony/support/divorce laws are in the Western world, I'm going to have a hard time having sympathy for this guy when he inevitably gets bent over in a year or two. You're right, it should. But how do you even begin to punish that? You can't jail her and leave 8 kids orphaned, it would be insanely cruel to them. They'd either need to be split up, or you'd have to perform the Herculean task of finding someone willing to foster 8 kids at once, who also isn't just in it for the benefits check. You can't fine her, because all you're doing is just paying her less, which probably had real serious ramifications for the kids standard of living again. Fucked up as i…

Pretty much this. A one time payment of 30 mil, if that's really the kind of numbers were talking during asset distribution should be enough for anyone to live exceedingly well. If you're 40+ and can't stretch 30mil out for the rest of your life, then that's your problem.

I think it has it's place. Let's take an easy example. Couple is married right out of college. He goes and becomes a well off engineer, she stays home to take care of their new child. For discussions sake let's say the couple has a second child 6 years later. She stays home and takes care of all the children's needs and keeps the house clean. Let's pretend they have a real 1950s style family dynamic where the husband doesn't lift a finger for domestic work, but works hard at his job to provide f…

That, or she's projecting some pretty horrendous behavior/thoughts of her own. That was a very calm man being called a rapist, a child mollestor(sp?). I'm sorry, but I feel I need to say this; That was atrocious. The journalists didn't behave, yes, but the fact "feminism" was every third word seriously illegitimatized the entire movement. The problem with that is that it hinges on them accepting that Feminism is widely accepted in culture. If you were to look at the family photo albums of 1000 families, at least 900 of them would have a picture of their young children naked doing something silly. It is entirely normal, because non-pedophiles don't see any sexuality in a 2 year old not wearing clothes, just a 2 year old being a 2 year old. When you have kids and discover that at a certain age clothing is of little interest to them, you will understand.

To counterpoint; 1- the fact the ladies are very well paid for their work is the opposite of exploitation. I find that hard to believe. It's done to make every person look as similar as realistically possible. The point being, you're all the same, all equal, and all the differences and uniqueness are not important here. It makes the soldier more apart of the whole, and works to remove individuality. Now, you may not like that but an army can't be a mob of individuals and be effective, it needs to be a single unit acting as one.

That's a nice sentiment but simply not feasible in the real world. Say your average case load is 100 in-patients at any given time. To allow for some over flow, you build a facility with 150 rooms. Now say a flu epidemic happens, and the hospital is now treating 1000 patients. This is where wards become necessary. The hospital could have built a facility to house 1000 people, but that would mean they have a vastly larger space than what is usually necessary, with all the costs that go with it. E…

A great example of this is how we walk. Next time you get a chance, look at footprints in the snow. There will be pairs of essentially 2 parallel lines, | |, and pairs shaped like V's. The V's are almost always men, and the women are the parallels.

Agreed, but the beauty of it is here we see the intended audience of such nonsense outright rejecting it. This is the first, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's the last, time I can honestly say I'm happy with HuffPo. Good on that guy for not just lying down and taking it.

Logic. If you could get the same work from a woman as you could a man, and pay her 23% less, why would you ever hire a man? Done.

Because it works!....in academia. Once you talk to people who have actually do e things with their lives, they won't take that seriously anymore. Here in reality you have to actually defend your opinions, because it is your job to defend your opinions.

You don't get praised, but eventually you do get a house. Right, and she'd have had a happy marriage, free of immense mental anguish. Fancy that. No, she made an agreement and stuck to it. They do not have children because that's what they agreed. Why has doing what you promised suddenly become a lie? Oh, I'm sure you can figure it out.

very difficult sacrifices Fuck that. I don't get praised for paying my mortgage despite the very difficult sacrifice that comes with it. OP made his intentions perfectly clear before marriage, offered to be sterilized and she told him no. These 'very difficult sacrifices' are all on her. She then lied for YEARS to OP about the consequences of her choices, and managed to fuck herself up royally. Why should anyone feel pity for a woman who willingly made her bed? This all could have been resolved …

Changing your views on children when you find out ones coming is hardly irregular, happens every day to both genders. Now, that's not to say he would have a change of heart, but he at least deserves the chance to change his mind. Honestly, if the guy was 100% anti kids why would he care his wife aborted some, to the extent that he makes a huge reddit post about it, and not simply think something along the lines of 'good'?

Because it's vastly more complicated. Women have a very convenient "off" button, pregnancy. When pregnant the cervix closes, so no new gametes can get in, and egg production pauses while the new baby grows undisturbed. So, release pregnancy hormones and close up the cervix, no sperm gets in. Go on inactive pills and the body thinks you miscarried and flushes everything away, and then you start again. Convincing men's testes to completely cease sperm production, but then resume on command, is a w…

/r/MensRights19/06/13 08:39 PM

I am, but as far as I'm concerned alimony in all but extreme circumstances is simply theft. If youre under 50 it should be capped at something like 5 years, if you can't get a degree and find a job in that time it's your problem, not your former spouse.
/r/MensRights19/06/13 08:35 PM
4

Bring back fault in divorce: A spouse shouldn't be able to commit infidelity and then benefit from it. End permanent alimony, and create very strict for any alimony at all. Stop making child support impoverish fathers. 50/50 custody should be the default. It's not that I don't think marriages can end for good reason, it's that even if it's unequivocally not your fault as a man, you get absolutely raped in the courts.
/r/MensRights19/06/13 08:07 PM

Alright then, this should have been super obvious; Men should have reproductive rights (choice). And marriage is Russian roulette. You might get a loving spouse and be relatively happy forever. You might also get an evil witch who will leave you when she's bored and take your kids, home, car, and money. I'm not sure how that was ambiguous but w/e.

This is t something that we need to cite sources for and bring an intellectual attitude to, this is a rant written from the perspective of someone who watched WAYYYY too much MTV and thinks that's how the world actually works because she did nothing to dissuade herself of said erroneous opinion.

That was exactly my parents too, dad had an ancient truck from when America knew how to build automobiles, mom got a new car every 4-5 years. Granted, she was a realtor who needed to put forth a certain image so it made sense and wasn't just her wanting a new car for no real reason.

This a different view that you have probably not heard from professional victims in the gay community but it merits thinking about. Not as surprising as you might think. I wouldn't say we have 100% equality in America, not yet. Certainly in certain regions it is 100%, but other parts haven't quite figured it out yet. Those regions however are disappearing, if not stubbornly slow.
/r/MensRights24/05/13 02:04 AM

True. This is bridging some deep philosophical ground for me. As far as I've been concerned, being gay isn't a choice, because who in their right mind would choose to be gay? (Edit- rereading this and it sounds, bad. To clarify I mean, who would choose to be a social pariah, heathen, etc. People as a rule don't go out of their way to make their lives unnessecarily difficult) As such, it's clearly just who they are and it can't change. Or can it... I gotta sit down and think for a bit.

Which, you have to wonder how the hell that works. What i mean is, I cannot fathom being so angry with women that I'd be interested in having sex with a man. Pitching, catching, etc. No part of that is even vaguely appealing to me.

...and I agree. The other key here is the terminology, in your case baby. I'm talking about a fetus, or some other more primitive stage in human development. Only at that stage, the very same stage where it is legally and (for some) morally acceptable to kill/destroy the fetus, would a financial abortion be possible. If the mother has absolutely no responsibilities at this stage, why does the father? To be absolutely clear, a financial abortion in practice would NOT be possible after the point i…

Well, it violates bodily autonomy because you, as a non-custodial father, enslaved in all but name. You must make X and deliver it to someone else every week or be incarcerated. The only way to make X might be to take very physically demanding and dangerous work. It may mean you are shackled to a career you hate it. Now, the whole point of the financial abortion part is that it gives the mother a choice. She may terminate the pregnancy and go on as normal, or bring the child to term knowing she …

A small point: the timeframe for male opt-out should be slightly shorter than women so as to make time for the woman to make arrangements. To illustrate; cutoff date is the start I the third trimester, no more abortion after that. Man waits till 1 day before third trimester, woman is now stuck.

1- This assumes mommy uses all of the child support money on the child and nothing else. Ask yourself if you think that's true even 1 out of 10 times. There is ZERO accountability that the receiver of said funds use it on anything. So long as baby is happy and healthy, payments continue. 2- because of the absolutely outrageous levels of support ordered by courts, sometimes in excess of what daddy earns, it is indeed a violation of bodily autonomy. For instance, I'm a lawyer and a I make $100,000…

How can anyone even vaguely sane think this makes sense. If he owes money how does throwing him in jail help? Like, at all. It's not like you make money whilst incarcerated, or at least not in any significant quantity. If I remember my history correctly, and I do, the entire idea of debtor's prison was deemed to be a direct affront to everything the constitution stands for. Technically correct, with one important difference. In an opt-out scenario the choice is only given if its asked for. So a man must ask for the opt out form, which will detail all the rights he's giving up in nice big bold letters. This is of course only needed if people insist on willful ignorance on a large scale. I'd much rather it be compulsory with no exceptions.

Bingo, Pfizer was looking for a hypertension medication. Viagra worked reasonably well, and had the "interesting" side effect of making patients pop wood consistently. It's actually remarkably similar to how BC helps to regulate periods and clear up acne, despite it's intended use being something totally different.

I'd argue that while the newborn does have a right to privacy, it hasn't been alive long enough to have any private information. I'd rather it be an opt out, that comes complete with a nice form that informs the noble fool what he's signing away in detail.

Lawyers are a wonderful thing. You have yours draft one, have her hire her own, make sure that your attorney instructs hers to explain it to her, and have both attorneys sign affidavits to that effect to be attached to said contract. Make sure the contract is equitable, and you've got yourself as ironclad as it can possibly get.

and I think the rationale for covering Viagra (or the female version when it finally reaches the market) at all is dubious at best. How can a quota ever possibly work. Seriously how? The entire premise demands that you must hire whatever special group has been selected. It's funny how women can conveniently forget the vast support system for (female) domestic violence victims, commit murder/assault/etc, and not be held accountable. Nvm, that's not funny at all. Even if the allegations of abuse are completely true, if she wasn't in immediate danger (and considering hubby was asleep...) then she committed murder. End of story.

If you think about it from a far-left political point of view it makes perfect sense. They harbor the idea that if society isn't bending over backwards in the name of progress, even if said 'progress' doesn't even begin to make sense, then something horrible is happening. It's the same line of thinking that makes people think socialism will work this time, despite being a miserable failure every time it's ever been attempted.

I'm still waiting for that list of jobs women incapable of passing today's standards could do that wouldn't be better served by a person of either gender who can. You also apparently can't read. It doesn't matter what most fires are, at all. Stop saying it. Most means nothing when lives are at stake. 99.99% of fires could require nothing more than showing up and doing a dance, if the fire house fails at that .01% someones dies. I'll say it again, someones dies. One more time SOMEONE DIES. So yes…

They're not excluded. Firefighters are held to a standard, you don't meet that standard, you don't qualify. Sex doesn't even enter into the equation. I'll make this simple. What jobs can women do that wouldn't be better filled by a person (nothing to do with gender) who can pass all the physical requirements? Why have one person who can perform rescues, and another that can't? What if there's a large fire that requires dozens of individual rescues? You can't send the same person in over and over…

I disagree. Short shorts may be impractical, but if that's the standard for over-sexualization then I'll again cite the fact you can see more women then you can count wearing Laura's exact outfit (minus the boots) in any American city that happens to be 80 degrees or higher on that particular day. You may as well argue that any woman not wearing ankle lengths skirts in video games is over sexualized by that standard. The boobs though, that's valid. However, also valid is the fact that the reboot…

Not to mention, there are plenty of female characters who display strength that no woman could possibly attain in reality. A good example of this is Vi from League of Legends. She stands roughly the same height as her male counterparts, isn't super thin nor is she huge, and she will kick your ass.
/r/MensRights12/03/13 11:22 PM
2

Interesting. Personally I don't even notice anymore. Hell I'm not sure I ever did, even when I was like 12. I suppose I was just always able to distinguish that no matter how real and or sexy a woman in a game was, shes not real so why bother getting infatuated.

You can't be serious. You're suggesting that we need to hire more female firefighters, but because they can't actually do the job we should buddy them up with some men who can do the job for them? I don't say this often, but my goodness is that mysogonystic.
/r/MensRights12/03/13 10:48 PM
2

Well, there's a pretty legitimate discussions about women being firefighters/EMTs as both require a great deal of physical strength. Being "weak" or more accurately, not as strong, is actually kind of a big deal. Would you want anyone other than the biggest, strongest, and most qualified candidates working at the fire station? I wouldn't, and like it or not half of those qualifications preclude most women from joining.
/r/MensRights12/03/13 10:37 PM

That trend doesn't exist. It died awhile ago. In fact, the opposite is true. The big titles in the past 10 years or so have have had far higher female leads, an now nearly any game that has you play an avatar allows you to chose your gender.
/r/MensRights12/03/13 10:32 PM

You're reading into incorrectly. It's not "fuck you get out of our hobby" it's "don't decide after 30 years that it's socially acceptable for you to play games now and start demanding everything change to cater to your needs" There's a world of difference.

Re: Laura Croft Is a tank top and a pair of shorts hyper specialization sexualization now? I see hundreds of women wearing that exact outfit walking around the college in my town every summer. If you're going to complain about Laura Croft, you can start with her ridiculous bosom that she's had up till now (the latest game finally scaled it back to a much more realistic appearance). Edit: autocorrect.

I find that 40% figure dubious at best, considering it counts things like FarmVille. Without going "No true Scotsman", FarmVille and it's derivatives are entirely different than more "hardcore" games. League of Legends, among the biggest games in the world did a census recently that put that male:female ratio at 9:1. Considering my other experiences in more hardcore games, this seems vastly more appropriate.

I enjoyed the part where a couple dozen games with female protagonists are listed, every single one of which was a very successful game, and the person you were arguing with can only seem to say "Yea, but it's not equal!" So, an industry who has been supported almost entirely by males for decades is somehow sexist because there are not equal amounts of female protagonists? Simple enough, limit it to say 2 weeks before the actual abortion cut off date. The responsibility is on the woman to locate the father and notify him prior to this date. If she fails it's on her. The man will also be responsible for submitting notice in writing and paying for at least half the cost of the procedure (where applicable). Assuming the woman must wait at least 1 month to know she is pregnant that leaves her 5 months to locate the father, get his answer, an make up her mind as well. …

I responded with this in a different comment but it seems appropriate here too (please excuse me if I'm telling you thing you already know); Fairly recently I read a release from RIOT games (LoL's publisher) that approximately 10% of the game's player-base is women (I'm sorry but I don't have the source handy). By far the most popular game format is 5v5, meaning there are 10 players in the game. Statistically then, there should be at least 1 female per game. While still a minority, that's still …
/r/MensRights21/02/13 08:31 PM

The last demographics I saw was that women made up about 10% of the player base, and considering by far the most popular game type is a neat 5v5 format, that means there's statistically at least one female in every game. You'd think with numbers like that we'd see representation at the higher levels, even if they would still be a minority, but it simply isn't there.

Oh no I wasn't saying there was discrimination at all, just responding to the idea that if women want to be taken seriously in gaming they need to actually represent at the highest levels. I figure the shoes aren't too comfortable and wonder whether I should offer her my seat. So she chose some absurd set of non-functional, painful shoes, how in the world is that anyone's problem but her's?

They did a ridiculously good job with the setting in the ME series. It easily rivals Star Wars and Trek and has been around a fraction of the time. The codecies were easily my favorite part of each of those games.

I don't care if your raking in 1,000,000,000 a month, 10k/month is ridiculous. That's 120,000 dollars a year for literally nothing, more than double the average income.

Eh, this is a pretty big false equivalency. Ear piercings can close quickly an permanently, leaving no permanent damage/change to the affected area. The pain also borders on non-existent. This is obviously not the case with circumcision, regardless of gender.

Preface: my mother was everything anyone could ever want in a mother and wife, but developed serious alcoholism and destroyed herself. Now that said, I'll give you some advice. Don't let what you're feeling right now come out during some argument you two have while she's drunk. Telling someone how you really feel when they're in that state will either send them into a rage, or depress the fuck out of them and it just doesn't accomplish anything. Stay strong.

Eh, that's a bit blanket. For instance; My GF and I have something of an arrangement when we goto bed. I give her a back rub (complete with tea tree oil and some nice music), and she gives me oral, and then we have sex. Doesn't happen every time (except the sex part, which is great), and the individual commodities very rarely happen without the other, but at the same time were both very happy with the bargain. Nothing like chant hate speech to take a stand against "hate speech".

That was painful to read.

When you see how loose some people can be with it, you just stop caring. My ex would just star bawling at the drop of a hat, and it basically turned into The Boy who cried Wolf.

Yes, they all seem to be under the impression that we can just will it up whenever we want, and the necessity to be turned on is exclusive to women.

Yea no problem. I think I can get through to her, as in general she seems very open. Just need to roleplay Columbus and tell her how the Earth isn't flat.* *I'm aware of the litany of things historically wrong with that.

I enjoyed reading that. Will make for good discussion with my Sociology professor on Thursday. We had a debate recently about this subject, and while she wasn't the least bit rude about it she was very closed minded.

I thoroughly enjoyed that. Also glad my current ladyfriend would absolutely not act like that.

I have yet to cry after losing my mother almost 7 years ago. I desperately want to, but can't. Thanks society.

What's worse is women apparently have no clue about that. I've yet to meet a woman of approximate age as myself who understands we actually have very little control of when erections happen.

Not necessarily, crimes involving children, especially pedophilia, are supposed to be pretty hush-hush (with good reason for the most part).

I suspect the only reason this got any real traction is the shitstorm over at Penn State.

Allow me to counter-point. I think what OP was referring to is the mass over-perscription of Ritalin et al. for young boys, regardless of actually needing the medication. I myself was labeled as AD(H)D repeatedly through my elementary school years. My parents listened to this, but then looked at my report cards and saw A's across the board, every time. Teachers hounded my parents to put me on drugs. No sense of propreity at all either, they straight up told my parents I should be on medication. …
