Dude.. I'm not disagreeing with you.. I'm saying that the employers quote that law (RtW) when firing someone for no reason. Not at-will... I still think it's (at-will) BS and allows employers to discriminate against employees under the guise of a law that was supposedly to "help" employees.. that's literally how they announced it in TN. That this law was going to be a benefit to employees and it's done nothing but. So thanks for the law name correction. Still doesn't change the fact that both ar…

Well guess TN lawmakers need to reword their law announcements because it was announced as "right to work" and any employer will quote that law when terminating an employee without cause regardless if a union is involved or not.

No, that's literally what they called it here. "Right to work" law was passed in TN sometime in '09/'10. And there are plenty of active unions here. But the RtW law makes it easier to fire people that want to start one. Again, it's a bs law that allows employers to fire employees for any reason, including discrimination IF they play their cards right.

I'm in TN. But the company I work for has a strict policy. Essentially, they can't fire someone w/o a legitimate reason. EDIT: also, I think it's ridiculous that the "right to work law" exists.. technically someone could legitimately be discriminatory against a person that is a protected entity (ethnicity, race, religion, sex. orientation, etc) and fire them w/o legal ramification.. because this law is a loophole for employers. Giving them the ability to discriminate against employees regardless…

Almost got terminated due to false allegations of sexual harassment and racial profiling (I work security). They didn't even conduct an investigation. They were literally going to fire me without actually proving I did something. Half of that facility's cameras didn't work and none of them had audio. But nevertheless they just assumed that because I'm "a straight white male" that I must've done those things and needed to be fired. Well, I made them conduct an investigation.. I treated everyone a…

"has an arguable case". No, dude has a case.. if this was the other way around there wouldn't be any argument. It would be seen as bias immediately. The narrative is ridiculous. Just like how when female pedos rape kids the article will read "40 year old woman sleeps with 12 year old male student".. when we all know it should be raped student..

Dude.. again you're missing the point. If you don't understand you're either a troll or you seriously can't understand my point. So, I take my leave. If you wanna keep arguing, start at the beginning of the thread and read down. My statements won't change and neither will you. Have fun constructing arguments from thin air for meaningless reasons towards people you'll never meet.

working less than people who are literally "Just Chatting" Are you talking about podcasts or something of the like? Cause yes, I think half-heartingly playing a video game while basically nude, it's clear that the partial/nudity is the appeal here and therefore it is not the same amount of effort as someone on the same platform coming up with material to joke/talk about or becoming better at their skill/game. Again, if you wanna make money by showing off your body? Go ahead but on a platform des…

That can change very easily if the Twitch mods upheld the standard of their playform "Second, focusing your broadcast around sexual content or in-game nudity is not permitted, and users may not engage in simulated sexual activity or erotic roleplay in game play (as defined by our Sexually Suggestive Content guidelines). When interacting with in-game nudity or sexual content in a permitted game, users may only spend as much time as is required to progress through the game.". Clearly they don't up…

Bro what? Twitch was never made with that in mind.. you want to stream gameplay (and let's be honest.. its not gameplay) while basically being naked, fine! I don't care, do that on Onlyfans.. you know.. the place with that entire general idea that its a platform for sexualizing oneself? The simple fact that Twitch flags full nudity should be enough to say "hey.. maybe this platform isn't for porn..?" Whereas Twitch was made for gaming/skills/abilities etc. Kids go on Twitch bro.. let them show o…

Made a comment a couple years back saying "Twitch used to be a place for creators to be supported by fans and for fans to have a more real connection with the creator. But now.. it's a cesspool of simps pissing their money away for thots that don't want to actually work" I was down voted heavily.. but I wasn't wrong, eh?

"A person with a serious medical condition does not just get up and walk away-" The guy was having seizures and was grabbing at whatever (like what happens when someone has seizures). Yet, he should be charged over something he had no cognitive control over.. wtf is wrong with these people??

Great man, I'm glad it helped. I had a lot of questions myself and that's why I decided to take a few years to study. Found out a lot of interesting things.

It's mainly about how back then your name was quite literally who you were. Names held a lot more meaning. Back then, they would often make verbal promises/vows/covenants by saying "In the name of _____ ....". However, taking the Lord's name in vain (making a foolish pact or one you have no intent on fulfilling) was "taking the Lord's name in vain". You're making a false promise and sullying the name of God by doing so. Now using God in terms of cursing is both "in vain" and violates the command…

To me, a perfect relationship is like living with your best friend. I couldn't agree more! I'm not looking for a good time or a gf to date for a while. I'm wanting the endgame to be marriage. So I definitely want her to be my best friend. I guess the next hurdle I face is where.. the only public places I go now is church and there's not a whole bunch of single people my age there.. the church I went to before has more, but unfortunately, they're trapped in the cycle of gossip and rumors :/ So ho…

So would you say it's maybe a mixture of both? I guess my biggest problem would be breaking the ice. I don't go to bars any more and I dont use dating apps so it's a bit difficult meeting new people let alone women. But I will definitely keep what you've said in consideration!

I'll keep that in mind. It's a little difficult considering Covid and whatnot. People barely wanna be close to strangers let alone go out somewhere with someone lol But you make some valid points, I'll try and do that.

I feel so sorry for single guys in 2020. What a nightmare it must bet trying to date. It really is.. I'll see a cute and presumably single woman. I've always been told that giving a compliment is a good way to break the ice. But before I even get a chance to talk to her I get the looming thought of "there's a good chance she could try to accuse me of harassment.." So I end up saying nothing.. how the hell am I supposed to date? I don't do online dating cause it's a great way to get VD or cheated…

Apparently in response to 911 calls about physical abuse, if the abuser is female and the victim male, when the police arrive they put the guy in handcuffs while they talk to the female abuser. Who will then lie and say she was defending herself. Unless the guy has some kind of hard evidence against her like a video or multiple (female; because why would they believe a bunch of other guys) witnesses, he'll be the one going to jail. Gotta love that male privilege.

Food, clothing, diapers, medicine, doctor bills, day care bills, and toys should be the only thing allowed to be purchased. Can't tell you how many times I saw people use it to buy cigs and beer when I worked as a cashier..

The quote says max for 2nd is 7 years. And that's my point.. she gets 2 years and this other kid gets over 17 years.. granted, she was in Canada and he was in America. But the drastic difference between the two sentences are astonishing.. in general women get shorter and less severe sentences than men for the same crime. I'm glad she's not getting what she wants in trying to leave early.. but geez the punishment just doesn't fit the crime..

So in less than 2 years she's out.. after beating and leaving someone for dead.. she definitely got the pussy pass.. I checked out the law in Canada.. :"A youth (12 to 17 years) who is not sentenced as an adult does not face a life sentence. Instead, if convicted of first degree murder, they must serve a maximum sentence of 10 years, with a maximum of 6 of those years spent in custody. If convicted of second degree murder, they must serve a maximum of 7 years, with a maximum of 4 of those years …

Had a gf once get pissed cause I was like "hun... Idk, but something is.. off.." turns out she had a yeast infection and if I had "just been a good bf and done it" I would've gotten a yeast infection in my mouth.
