| 6 | Why I hate the term "male gaze": yet another example of how feminism perpetuates selectively conservative ideas like "traditional female gender norms = bad, traditional male gender norms = good".I'm late 20s and people in my age group are constantly using these feminist buzzwords and analyzing things in this way, and I live in a conservative area. It isn't uncommon to hear middle aged people talk about it too--they're more likely to be critical but certainly know it exists.
