Exactly. Every time I was told I should just be hopeful or have more positivity, I didn't know how to express that. Wouldn't have made a difference either way, and it'a hard nowadays to find threads of hope to hang onto.

When and if you do, just remember some places have quite a few transplants, meaning they aren't all too hospitable (comparably), but some of them do adopt that culture. I grew up in a town like that. However, you'll still find very friendly people. But the chicken! Very good, many places to try. How do you fry your chicken?

I think it applies figuratively and literally. Men aren't supposed to bite back. We are expected to bite our tongue. Women are allowed to react poorly to something a man does, but men aren't allowed to react poorly to women. Woman will likely be forgiven. Man won't (from personal experience). Especially if you don't grow up with a good example, it's difficult to figure out how to approach these situations and keep a level head. At this point I just wish I didn't care. Seems like an easier life.

Its baffling how you can do like a bit of research on AI and how its made and understand it really isnt as impressive as they want you to believe. A lot of it is just "fine tune these parameters with no clear understanding how it affects the model" simulator

It seems to me that men are expected to be that patient. At least from most directions in my life. Never has a woman been patient with me figuring anything out. But I was expected to be patient with them. My dad dealt with some shit from my mom (though not as bad as yours, id say), and id say hes lucky that he has heard gratitude for being so patient with her. It's all kind of depressing, and I hope we have more freedom to just be in the future.

It also depends on what information they fed it. Since there is so much screaming about sexism against women on the internet, there is more data that reaches a broader spectrum of the language. AI is a scam and over-hyped. We just need to choose carefully what we rely on it for (but i dont see that happening, we like an easy way out)

The way the man talks about the "backhanded conpliments" about being in the minority... God if I had a nickel for every time I heard "oh but you're different. Oh but you're alright" after hearing disdainful comments towards men, and how it also made me feel good at one point. sigh never brought me any more love or made me less lonely.

Because it's a war of morality. I did theatre in college along with an engineering degree, so I've experience with people who do a lot to look morally superior instead of actually being decent people. You can feel good about yourself without any real work. It's why they're so scared of conflict, I think. It puts you in a position to be viewed negatively. So they twist things to make themselves seem better and make themselves believe it. (Specifically my ex did this)

Yeah every time I've used it, I've not been impressed. It's crashed on me multiple times (not just from load I believe). It gives the same cookie cutter responses when probing. It's an interesting tool, but nowhere near as cool as people have made it out to be.

It's selfish to not give people you "care" about the love and attention they deserve or even ask for. You can't ask the guy trying his best to be better when he needs support. Some people just can't do it themselves. We are social creatures. There's such a fixation these days on individualism and loving yourself (which I think is bullshit to an extent) and no one cares to acknowledge that a lot of people need to feel a sense of belonging.
/r/MensRights22/11/22 03:59 PM

Completely agree. Been struggling with it for awhile. Most times I bring it up or if it becomes a thing for a period of time, I'm basically told to stop because I'm just being so negative. There's a progression of how I express my grief. It starts out just trying to get the attention of someone, yknow just talk about random shit. They are unresponsive, don't care to put time in for our friendship. Then I'm like hokay, thinking about death, then it's like "woah you're being too negative it hurts …

Bruh like 99% of the women don't respond after the first message (on hinge too). It's just some game to them; it's entertainment. The ones that do respond don't put any effort into a conversation and then they ghost you for whatever reason, especially when you wanna just skip the dumb texting phase, go on a date, and decide if it's worth the time continuing. Swear it's so simple but they make it so complicated

I do not find racial slurs offensive. Why would I give someone who hates me power? It's not resignation. Those people want you to care. They want you to be offended. So why should I be? Because I'm told it's offensive? Nah, not me.

It wasn't repealed for the reasons you think, probably. The SCOTUS is not granted legislating rights from pur constitution. Let our legislators write it into law, so we have representatives WE vote into offices with THEIR names on the legislation instead of people we can't reach. It's a setback for this problem, sure, but it opens the door to do it the right way, where accountability can be held.

Like you are an internet psychologist in its truest form. You know nothing about me and my lifestyle, how I treat people, etc. Maybe I just don't interpret the comments the same as you? I've hated MYSELF for YEARS because I've been told I am the problem. I've been surrounded by women who constantly shit on men and turn around and tell me "but you're okay". I'd say most people hate how they've been treated by women consistently for years. I see a lot of venting but no true hatred for women. Toxic masculinity just blames men, psychiatric division or not. Just because an organization recognizes it doesn't mean it's helpful. Just like how consensus isn't fuckin science and a huge number of people don't know that.

I will agree with that, but it's different than being abandoned because you're struggling. Half the battle is getting the attention needed to help build yourself back up and that's very hard to come by these days. Sometimes I'm scared to vent to friends because I don't have many and If I bombard them with my problems they might dip out. And I process by talking things out. I didn't notice him denying facts. He was agreeing in some aspects but not in LONG TERM HEALTH of the vaccine. There are caveats. Different molecules are known to have different effects on the human body. Just cause it's related doesn't mean it is proven safe. That's not a good argument. We have only had it around for two years. A unique virus. In good conscience, no scientist should claim safety because of relation to another virus. I think you are confusing yourself. They are being very specific in what they are asking for. I think you're being a bit close minded to be frank. Open mindedness means humoring things you don't agree with for the sake of learning and changing your mind. You seem very stuck in your way of thinking while who you're responding to is open to have their opinion changed, given they see something that backs a specific hypothesis. They are being respectful and you are not.

Def see more racism towards white people than any other. Men tend to shit on each other as a way to express love, but not saying all of it is loving. A ton of people are insecure. It isn't specific to white men or men in general. Also maybe constant hate has something to do with that? Just a thought. I feel your response is a bit close minded. Hate begets more hate, and we get to decide where it stops.

The internet allows them to be able to choose where they interact with people and they will always choose to feel comfort. It just makes discomfort more irrational and harder for them to deal with. Might I add this isn't purely for feminists, this goes for all people.

Yeah I was trying to explain to my friend last night like how I've experienced loneliness and how she appreciates those friendships where you can disappear for a bit and pick up where things left off. While I also appreciate those, those are friendships I have to upkeep because no one is going to check on me, yknow? So I don't have many of them, because even then, no one wants to or can give that attention back. It's a difficult difference to explain between men and women.

Science exists within the right groups. We always have a catholic church esque entity, however, that impedes true progress. Scientists and enthusiasts alike should enjoy challenges to their beliefs and theories and welcome differing beliefs, but we both know that is not the case.

I'd argue that yes logic is important, but logic/philosophy isn't a focus of most curriculums even though it benefits all of them greatly. We avoid it in our education system, even arguing in English class is plagued with pathos/ethos argumentation rather than logic (my personal experience), and we are rewarded either way. If you're good with logic, you will do well, but by no means is it encouraged to learn it, except in fields that require those classes.. There is a lack of focus on learning t…

You may have pure intentions, but please don't imply your intentions are universal, because they aren't. Many of us have experienced otherwise, and telling us we are wrong isn't helpful. Is fascinating how people have been indoctrinated with this behavior. It's been core for any leftist, liberalist politics since its conception. I really like the throw in of "Your values mean nothing if they aren't consistent". Very much a problem with society, although I have no reference to the history of society's ability to maintain their convictions. Feels akin to "you can talk the talk, but you can't walk the walk" and deals with performative behavior to try and appear as the king of morality within your media circle. Words are hollow but can be filled by a trust in action.

A lot of these people live within an echo chamber and never deal with opposing opinions when they have to read inflection and body language. Well on that subject, I personally believe religion whether secular or not places too much importance on blind faith, which would generally make them outdated. In my opinion, the blind faith becomes a bottleneck for how we want society to progress since it usually halts constructive debate (subjective ), but it's also a key component in bringing people under the same flag. That's the sadness of the internet. We choose to be in spaces we are comfortable instead of challenging that. I had a fling with this girl who turned out to be mad sexist and delusional with Tumblr bullshit about men being garbage and told me I girlfriend zoned her and that was just the most confusing thing ever. It's like people choose to be disconnected with reality instead of actually following their desire to better themselves.
