I understand your points. However, I still feel that comparing an average pickme and the damage they cause to Ghislaine Maxwell (probably spelling her name wrong) and the like negates the severity of the atrocities of the latter. It’s a ridiculous comparison. I take issue with that statement, but the original commenter has not replied to my query.

I’m confused about your statement. It seems very damning to other women, which I feel is against the values of FDS. I refuse to believe, as you suggest, that all pickmes purposefully harm others around them in order to stay in a relationship with a man. Perhaps I have misunderstood you. Shouldn’t we, as women, and some of us former pickmes, have forgiveness and love in our hearts for those women who don’t know better? I do believe there are some women who truly do not see the situation as it rea…

I agree with you so much! I want to be my true self, without fear of mistreatment or rejection for who I am. It’s a tough world for us, I pray we may all find the someone we deserve.

I love this, OP. I have been worried about not being able to express myself truly by following FDS. My love language is “acts of kindness”, and by nature I would describe myself as very caring, loving, and sympathetic- perhaps to a fault. When I was with someone, I would make them meals or make their favorite dessert because I truly wanted to. I did anything I could to be helpful and supportive. But then I ended up being their therapist or their rebound. So then I felt like I did too much, and I…

Thanks! I have messaged the mods about negative posts and got some good feedback from them. If there’s anything I feel like I need to report, I will. I just wish there was more positive content!

FDS has helped me raise my self esteem by creating and sustaining high standards both for the dating world and myself. I’ve been inspired to work on bettering myself (diligently studying during college, learning new skills, developing a fitness and mental health program, etc. ) I understand why I made bad choices in the past, but now I can move forward in the sureness that’s I won’t compromise my new standards. FDS has also affirmed my wish to date while celibate, my vision of a HVM, and other s…

Sure thing. I feel like a majority of posts on here recently have been very negative and imo don’t contribute very much to the FDS ideal. These posts often result in women dragging scrotes to filth (almost always deserved, of course!) using very negative, rude, and LVW language. As HVW, I thought we were supposed to lift up others and ignore those who don’t meet our standards, instead of giving them “radio time”, if you will, on the internet. Most “roast-a-scrotes” posts I feel are this way. Usu…

I’m happy to see such a positive post and so lucky for you OP! It’s good to see more than the negative side of men all the time.

Glad to see this. As a newbie, I’ve been concerned with the hateful and condemning speech coupled with negativity going around the sub in the last few weeks. We have to be better, we cannot stoop to such low and childish behavior.

I don’t really have any advice, just to say that I am in the same boat- Feeling like I need to level up to actually be a high value woman.

Yes! It was funny, I got this book right when I was in a quasi-relationship with a lvm and at the time didn’t feel like I needed it. Truth be told, I did! But I’ve read it several times over the summer and feel like it’s a good reminder to keep your chin (and standards) high.

Thank you!! I was reading “We Hope This Reaches You in Time” by r.h. Sin and Samantha King Holmes. It’s a book of poetry for women ( the authors are husband and wife) and is full of fds-approved aphorisms and poems. Highly recommend!!

Been lurking a while but thought I could share this picture. It was really nice to treat myself a little (broke college student budget so nothing fancy) in a way that made me feel peaceful and fulfilled. Setting the bar for myself high- if no one can treat me as good as I treat myself, then it’s not worth it.

She doesn’t owe you anything. She can be a bitch if she wants to, not saying that’s right, but honestly if I was her I would have done the same thing.

Thanks, I love defending my own gender

“Maybe she was on her period” No. She didn’t want to be approached and you kept talking to her, disrespecting her boundaries and wouldn’t leave her alone. Clearly you can’t understand women, since you’re blaming your own incompetence at social interactions on a biological functionality which women deal with for a majority of their lives. You’re the problem here.

Don’t ask out people who you work with. You said she doesn’t talk about anything personal with you, only work stuff. If she was interested, she would get to know you. Just don’t do it unless you’re absolutely sure she’s interested, and it sounds like she’s not.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
