Was It Worth It?"I'm not sure if our marriage will ever be fixed. I done everything she has asked for 3 years and she still refuses connection with me because she still needs to heal. But she never does any healing or trying to connect" I could have written this myself. She filed for divorce in year four. And she is bitter and blaming me to anyone who will listen. It's as if she has forgotten that she started, continued, and ended all of it. The "healing" is just counseling bullshit. Did she happen to start cou… | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/07/26 04:20 PM
Dude the numbers aren’t adding up. Whole lot of married men.I was open the last couple years of my marriage, to my best friends in my church, about my marriage. Many of theirs sucked too. | /r/Divorce_Men | 26/07/26 10:18 PM
Still living with ex - she asked to go out next week with someone on a date. i'm spiralingI went out and started meeting people almost as soon as she filed. I wouldn't call it dating, but building my social network with the hope of finding someone that I could date one day. Now, I knew that we were over and I knew it was imminent for about a year and a half before that. But still, I was ready to go immediately. (not fully go) but at least start stretching. I was just glad the pain was ending. Is this weird? | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/07/26 06:24 PM
I miss my family!!!Yea, we ate dinner together every evening. She hates me, there was nothing I could do about it. | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/06/26 05:37 AM
Tell me how it was living with your soon to be ex through the divorce.I’m doing it right now. It sucks. But if I leave, she will have no pressure to get the house sold, and she cannot afford to make the payment, so I would be stuck doing it. Plus, her narrative that I am the one who ended the marriage (not true, she filed without even warning me) would be easier to believe. I don’t want that for my kids sake. | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/06/26 11:14 PM
If somebody's wife hit on you, would you hook up with them?Hell no. I had a hot wife hit on me last weekend. When she explained the situation, I just said, “I’m not your guy.” Even if her husband is okay with it, I’m not going to contribute to his illness. | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/06/26 04:24 AM
Where I didn’t expect to beI agree with you. Just because he made a mistake does not meant that it should be weaponized against him. Everyone makes bad decisions at some time. Should we use someone's worst mistake to try to make it how they are defined by their kids? | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/06/26 07:09 PM
When did you know your marriage was over?It horrible, and I’m sorry. But, I know that you will, be okay eventually. | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/06/26 05:49 AM
When did you know your marriage was over?Yea, that’s exactly what happened to me. She didn’t like what the therapist said about her behavior so we found a new one. When he pushed her, she stood up and yelled, “I am not a bad person!” And walked out. Then she told him when she finally came back and she saw him that she would not be attending anymore, that he needed to fix me and that she would let us know when it was good enough. | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/06/26 05:46 AM
When did you know your marriage was over?Would you like me to pray for you? | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/06/26 05:42 AM
Why do lots of divorced men who hookup try to hookup with cougars and single moms when there are younger women to have sex with? That's not very nice, or necessary. | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/05/26 04:45 PM
Putting myself out there on some dating apps recentlyI’m 51 and very fit. I get approached a lot. That didn’t happen in my 20s. | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/05/26 03:44 AM
DivorcedI think that you shouldn't let the "single mom" part scare you. We all have some baggage man. I think that if you aren't seeing any real issues yet, you should let it run it's course until you do come up against something that is a problem for you. Wait, when you say single mom, you mean she is divorced, right? nothing longer than six months except her marriage? if that's not the case, forget my above comment. | /r/Divorce_Men | 27/05/26 03:25 PM
I am terrified of having sex going forwardBro. That a CRAZY story. | /r/Divorce_Men | 27/05/26 03:17 PM
I am terrified of having sex going forwardWow, at least you got a great story out of it. How old is this woman? | /r/Divorce_Men | 26/05/26 06:42 PM
I am terrified of having sex going forwardIt is amazing what a narcissistic woman can do to our self-esteem. | /r/Divorce_Men | 26/05/26 06:37 PM
Just separated and not sure what I’m supposed to do nextI am only a few weeks into it myself. I'm leaning on friends, trying to work, and working out a lot (but I always have). All that being said, I am still very much mourning the failure of the marriage. And I know it will get worse before it gets better. I feel like I have a head start (emotionally) because I have know in was over for a couple of years now, but dealing with the business of the divorce is daunting. While we have a few million is assets to split up, the financial setback is still ma… | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/05/26 04:17 PM
My ex wife is says she is scared of me.Not that I am aware of. She admitted to having an emotional affair, with a guy that she traveled with for work, several years ago. She has a pattern of lying about things that she is ashamed of. I think the odds are that they were having sex, she certainly wasn't coming home and having sex with me. But, I cannot be positive. | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/05/26 06:08 PM
My ex wife is says she is scared of me.My wife is working her ass off to create the narrative where she is the victim. It will work too. When a man leaves his wife, public opinion is always, "that son of a bitch left his family." When a woman leaves, it's "Thank God you got away from that son of a bitch". | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/05/26 05:28 PM
May I ask what led to your divorce?Mine used those exact same words. | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/05/26 05:04 PM
May I ask what led to your divorce? Now her narrative is that I just wasn't willing to do the hard work to save our family. And I'm just venting here, but; she is the one who gets to decide what I have to do to save the family, or she will break the family up. And somehow, that makes me the one that decided to end the marriage. It's crazy. Our last counseling visit, our counselor leaned on her for being too ambiguous and for not working herself to save the marriage. She screamed, "I am not a bad person," got up and walked out. She… | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/05/26 05:03 PM
May I ask what led to your divorce?I really think my soon to be ex wife is a narcissist. I know that word gets thrown around real easy these days, but the tendencies are there. She was unhappy in life and started going to counseling. There she learned that her unhappiness was all my fault. She came home one day and told me that she and her therapist decided that we weren’t going to do anything as husband and wife until I acted the way she needed me to act; so she cut off the marriage and called it a boundary. I tried to do the th… | /r/Divorce_Men | 03/05/26 03:57 PM

| -14 | I was in between college classes and had couple hours to kill.Hey, I get it. But at the same time, you can understand that a woman has to be careful. I mean, I would want my daughter to be careful in any such situation. I think they are brought up from a young age to be careful not to land themselves in compromising situations. Do you agree? Geez guys. I dint say that was a smart way for her to be careful. All I’m saying is that it is understandable why a young woman would be cautious of such situations. | /r/MensRights | 26/05/21 06:43 PM |
