Now, I am on low body fat, weight and do not need it, but see keto just as a tool and only that. I also pracitce sometimes long fasts ( 2-3 days ) so there is that. It was not me acting macho to seem strong ( I admit that am not very tough person ), but it was a just a way I deal with problems. It is not the most healthy way, but it is the only way I know how to deal with it. It was the most traumatic experience by far I had to deal with it. It left me pretty scarred. But, it is how it is. They did not do shit for me and that shit looks pretty bad on my resume for a job (yeah, we are backward 3 rd world country ). I found some other coping mechanisms ( running and riding a bike ). I do take some shit similar to ketamine for depression and it seems to work ( though , it is self medicating, but it does work and I do it like twice a month ).
