At 19, just keep a job to pay the bills and a little savings, while you "find yourself." There's no rush to be in a career right away. Just be able to support yourself, and eventually you'll find that job opening, that hobby that makes money, or at the very least you'll have time to figure it out. I started in my field at 21. You have no goals, that's what you're doing wrong. It also sounds like you lack any real hobbies, as well. In my opinion, I'd try to find a hobby that gets you out of the house first. You're going to get nowhere playing video games and watching movies all the time. You can't meet new people sitting on the couch

Damn straight. Although the heart break experienced when walking out to your bike for a ride, turning the key and watching nothing happen because something decided to break overnight is worse than female induced heart break. It's been 3 days... still trying to recover :(

That's the only time I've experienced the slow mo feeling, as well. Realizing I was not going to be able to stop before hitting the car, those last 10 feet took forever. It allowed me to take my hands off the bars before my right hand would have been crushed between the bar and the fender of the car. Then I landed on the hood, slid off, went to the ground, rolling as opposed to sliding, finally coming to a stop looking at the front end of the car maybe 10 feet away. That part is a bit blurry tho…

I see what you're saying there. I had improvement and innovation tied too closely together in my head. I should rephrase my thought to essentially say there has been massive, quantifiable improvement in all aspects of cars since 20 years ago. The levels of advancement in that 20 year period I feel have been the biggest since the early 1900s when people were just figuring it all out. As an automotive tech, I can tell you automotive technology is advancing in leaps and bounds. Just 20 years ago, cars were less efficient, less powerful, and not as safe as current vehicles. I'll use the mustang as an example. In 1994, it had a 225hp 5.0l V8. In 2014, it was equipped with a 400+hp, 5.0l V8. Much faster, gas mileage is better, build quality is better, in a crash they are much safer. Better in every category you can measure. That being said, I much prefer older cars. Less to break…

I'm glad to see there are more people that share that thought with me. I've never financed anything aside from tools (I'm a mechanic) and plan to keep it that way. It's a totally foreign idea to me to pay someone for years, and still never be legally the owner of the thing you're paying for. If I can't own it outright, I'm not interested, essentially
