I have local friends from here who do really well. Basically following the same rules of confidence. Scandinavia is somewhere I'd definitely be into traveling to someday. Have you spent a lot of time there?

Haha, currently in China. Tinder's also been nice to me in Vietnam and Taiwan. Never used it in Japan, but did have success with getting things going IRL.

Seriously. I'm from LA originally and Tinder was a drag. I visited Boston and was matched with cuties left and right.

Non-white American here living in Asia. It's like that for western guys in general.

And for the record, attractive means: Confidence, dressing well, good hygiene, good at texting, being fun and interesting.

A certain type of woman yes. But generally I believe well-fitted clothes >>> expensive.

Scarcity mindset. Everyone moves out of there parents house and while being healthy and fit is important in dating, there's a lot more to it.

Interesting. I live in Asia and match pretty well. My bio is super short: it says where I'm from and my interests in emoji form. I'd suggest getting good photos — no selfies — and upping your skills at text flirting. cc: /u/SelfLoveArmy

I live in Asia too but not Japan — however I did have a weekend fling while in Japan last year for a summer rock festival. Met her on the bus to the festival by offering her gum and we exchanged info. Met up the next day and I went in for a kiss while we watched The XX play. I actually wasn't even trying to hook up with her — just initially making small-talk and it led into some crazy nights together. Honestly, it was the same as talking to any girl, even with our limited communication. However,…

It's not your looks at all and you don't have features indicative of a developmental disorder. You look like a normal dude. Nobody is viewing you with contempt. Even when a woman is not interested in a guy, he would have to do something pretty awful for her to look at him with contempt. I'd suggest working on yourself and your social skills. Check out the Charisma on Command Youtube channel — their lessons have had given me tons of value in terms of my social skills and personal confidence.

If you are having trouble, it has nothing to do with you being latino — ESPECIALLY in NY. It might be in the south but it would be a positive thing in NY.

This sounds like my ex. From the cheating, lying, traveling to Asia over random men, being hot and cold and behavior that just seemed frantic and not making sense. If she wasn’t Taiwanese, I’d swear it was the same person.

This book helped turned me from socially awkward to a guy who enters a party not knowing anyone and leaving with new friends. Whoever says it's about being a pushover or saying yes to everything, either read the cliff notes or it just went over their head. It's about being interested in people.

I rarely go clubbing — I don’t like rap music and prefer to go to things like punk shows. But the few times a year I do find myself at a club or dance party, there is always grinding. Learn to be a good at dancing and most of the time, they will assume the position. If they don’t but the vibe is right, I sometimes just spin them around during the dance.

It's weird that you keep saying her name.

Non-verbal communication. I was at a rock festival in Japan this summer and had an obscene two nights with a local girl. It began with me offering her gum, moved on to close dancing, me going in for a kiss, yada yada yada — we were getting each other off in a dark corner during an EDM set. Again, non-verbal communication.

Go into it thinking of "I wonder what's she's like" rather than what you can get from her. Read the sidebar from here and from /r/GetSuave.

I recently traveled from California to a music festival in Japan, meeting up with friends attending from China. On the shuttle bus to the festival, I sat next to a pretty Japanese woman and offered her some gum. It opened to some easy conversation. The next day, my friends and I split up to see how own respective favorite bands and I randomly ran into her. We exchanged info to meet later that night for The XX’s set. We started dancing and I slowly escalated — dancing closer and closer to see how…

Ahhh, gotcha. It's definitely more than just an air mattress. But you can make it work if you just own it. Also keep in mine that there's a good chance any girl you meet could be in a similiar situation.

Why would your air mattress be a problem? The only turn-off is your shame about it.

It's just $10ish on Amazon. Refusing to even invest in yourself says something right there.

Personally, I never saw a problem with it. Both the man and the woman in the golddigger relationship usually both get what they want and know what’s the deal.

I haven’t had the best luck in finding anything serious on Tinder but one thing I can say at least is that I’ve never gotten flaked on. As long as the initial banter is fun, a date is set up that promises to be FUN, she has no reason to flake. One thing to remember is for confirming on the day of. Never texts: “Are we still on for tonight?”. Instead say something like, “Can it be 8pm now? I’m starving!”

I would say this goes for most high quality women with a variation on the older part (This 30 year old had a fun date with a 35 year old this past week).

Hell no. I started coming to this sub like three weeks ago and did the "wait"/kiss thing while hanging out this weekend. I couldn't believe how easy it was to set things off. USE THE INFO.

I think you've got half of this. Putting the ball in her court is important. But asking her to pick a day AND also giving her anytime to let you know makes it seem like you're an open calendar anytime she's available.

Nice posting OP. Here's something additional, the "rules" from No More Mr. Nice Guy by Robert A. Glover. Beyond attracting women, it also applies to other aspects in life: Summary of The Rules • If it frightens you, do it. • Don't settle. Every time you settle, you get exactly what you settled for. • Put yourself first. • No matter what happens, you will handle it. • Whatever you do, do it 100%. • If you do what you have always done, you will get what you have always got. • You are the only pers…

I'm reading it without a partner but am using the forums ran by the author of the book for support. One think you need is some new friends. I had vegetative gamer friends too and faded them out.
