It's your argument skills, or rather, your lack of them. It comes off as if your main source of social interaction is from things like online gaming or forums: you wouldn't make this argument to someone's face. The big problem with this types is expecting emotional labor from women. Essentially, they have no close male friends, limited social skills, and depression; and see having a partner as the thing that will “fix” them. The truth is it won’t. Being able to form relationships will get you a partner, getting a partner won’t teach you to form relationships.

I mean, I’ve overcome alcoholism- something that affects a lot of men. That’s one of many, but I grew from those experiences. Like I watched a lot of this “_________ owns feminist” when I was a teenager, but I learned that those videos do no reflect the reality. Essentially, my point was that a female superhero is judged as a representative of all women, while superhero’s like Tony Stark are walking harassment lawsuits. If you watch Iron Man 2, you’ll see this a lot. For example, Tony checking out Natasha and her photos during her supposed interview. Another great way to check is asking yourself which marvel movies are “political.” If your list is only movies and shows with female or POC leads, then your bias is obvious.

It’s essentially confirmation bias: if you think a show is something like, “feminist propaganda” before you even watch it, that’s all you’re going to see. For example, if you think Tony Starks sexism was an area of personal growth, but She-Hulk needs to be better out of the gate.

You may also just not be the targeted audience for the show: my wife loves it. There’s also the issue of She-Hulk’s character flaws being ascribed to over half the global population. Tony Stark wasn’t treated as the “perfect” man, and he was more interesting for it (including his sexism).

Because I’m concerned about the mentality of men that I see in these subreddits. I’m not worried about what their opinion is doing to me, but rather, them. I’m only 28, but I’ve worked in education: the young men seem so jaded about the world from experiences they’ve only read.
