Yes, but it took a while into the relationship. Rimming your man is such an intimate worship of him, and nothing aroused me more. I think it's practiced much more than it's actually acknowledged.

I am confused as I often see Ryan Gosling being used as the example of irresistible yet I was under the impression he was regarded as a beta? And the hypotheticals seem so out of his character. Fictitious Don Draper is more believable, although real life Jon Hamm has been in a LTR for 17 years with a woman his age and doesn't fit the player profile.

My periods are the same! I don't get cramps at all, I sometimes just get slight lower back pain on the first day but nothing crazy. I don't know if I actually don't get the symptoms, or if it's my pain threshold, because I notice I don't register pain the same way other people do or it doesn't bother me as much (same with discomfort due to weather, like I can tell it's too hot/cold but most of the time it's not an annoyance).

It's not. It just means you're not a mindless ideologue.

I too prefer the dominant, confident male and I know I wouldn't find any at TRP. I like the debating these subs bring as a spare time read, but in all seriousness none of them are there, and I doubt they'll ever be.

I've seen them use penile envy and daddy issues in a similar way Freudian scholars have done it. There's definitely a current there. And I don't get why you quoted my last paragraph and wrote basically the same thing I did. TRP uses both science and nonscience.

I would have the same answers as u/PublicallyViewable. The approach in this case may not be pseudo-scientific, but it's limited.

I was addressing the title of your post, which is your main question. We could all agree there's evolution happening, yet still conclude different things from it. TRP puts a lot of emphasis on instinct as determinant of social actions, while there's little grasp of behavioral epigenetics.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/14 11:28 AM

The main question is kind of odd. By TRP do you mean the collective user base, the literature and terminology, the bloggers who established it? All of the above? Does TRP claim to be entirely based on science, in the first place? If so, I would say TRP is pseudo-scientific. I wouldn't say it's completely based on pseudoscience, though, because it's a mix. It draws from popular observations, statistics, history, scientific research, Freudian psychology, cognitive biases and personal anecdotes. It…

Actually, you need to be informed on the literature if you want to form a solid opposing argument. You can disagree without reading, sure, but that won't stand for debate if you don't even know what it is you're against.

I am a naturalistic pantheist, which is a secular view people usually forget when they think about non-religiousness. I'm not a professed RPW, but submissiveness does come naturally to me in an intimate relationship, so I relate in many ways.

People usually identify as atheist or agnostic because of the lack of factual evidence of the existence of a god. That does not mean they have to entirely oppose the ways Abrahamic religions have shaped and still shape Western culture and morality.

The way it's targeted specifically to women is clearly marketing, but the claims are due to the the relaxed/happy effects eating chocolate produces. It's not so much compared to the act of sexual intercourse, but to indicate similar effects of the orgasm itself. It's been claimed to release: dopamine, oxytocin, endogenous opioids and cannabinoids. I personally love both and see them as totally different and incomparable experiences, and it's important to say that chocolate as it usually comes to…

I don't quite get what you mean in your last sentence, could you explain further? I don't think RPers care about what is wise, they care about what is effective, hence RP's machiavellianism and emphasis on superficial charm, not integrity. Charisma doesn't imply a morality by itself, it is a trait-turned-skill that simply means people will be receptive to your leadership and that they will be more likely to follow you. And what do people usually mean when they call you charismatic? Because some …

Yes, but I also understand why. For me, it's like explaining the technical terms of language. The human brain has the innate skill of learning and using language intuitively, so you can use words and verbs correctly without stopping to think why. But if you explain why, it sounds more complex. A person can correctly use the imperative tense without knowing what it's called by a linguist. So likewise, when someone is explaining a social dynamic and develop a theory of why the dynamic happens with…

Yeah, no subreddit is exempt of judging without verifying information. Quite honestly, I avoid posting MRM stuff anywhere because of the hostility it encounters at face value. I believe on reading as much as I can about a subject before making up my mind about ideology, but from my perspective, some people seem to go straight to outrage, impeding them to do so.

So I have to pick up a woman to know about rapport? Salespeople use it all the time. Social theory is not exclusive to sexual strategy. I didn't say sexual behavior is directly connected to character, just that self-control is, and this affects many behaviors. I'm sorry if that was offensive to you. Why would I choose to communicate via letters only in my relationship? It doesn't make any sense. The whole point is intimacy, not being distant pals. Are you projecting? Why would I want to be unfai…

I don't think they just happen out of nowhere, and they aren't magic. The fact that I don't have the need to work hard on seducing a woman doesn't mean I don't understand human processes and interactions. I am very confused by the whole thing you wrote. How is it not fair that I don't choose to sleep around? I don't get your point. I am not judging you or anyone for choosing that lifestyle, I was simply stating there are people who validly don't. And how am I demanding so much by wanting the pre…

I don't know why you keep saying "magic" if I never stated it was such a thing. Humans share bonds, that's not magic. I don't really care if you think my completely reasonable values are valid or not, I was not even telling you how to be, I was just refuting your flawed early premise. I don't even know what you're trying to argue here, that we all should sleep around even if some of us are truly not interested?

Reading more of your comments I can see your reasoning more clearly, as you're hedonistic and I am not, so we will fundamentally keep on disagreeing. Character plays a part everywhere. In a consumerist environment, debauchery becomes the ordinary, hindering character growth. And even though people are capable to overcome their environment, it's hard to attain and not everyone wants to or will. It's not that he proves himself and gets the prize. We both prove each other, we both get the pleasure.…

Intangible means you can't touch it. You can't touch values, thoughts or emotional concepts. There's no physical proof beyond brain processes. Worthiness isn't arbitrary, it is subjective but it has to be consistent with your own morals, it doesn't form at random. It's evident you don't know the connection I'm talking about, because it's not mere friendship. And I never said it didn't take effort or that it was magical. Sexual intimacy is to be earned, just like loyalty and respect are. That doe…

I could have sex without a bond if I pleased, and I really don't want to and I never have wanted to. Two people can only offer each other and that connection. You may assume I want his economic stability or whatever, assume what you please, ideally I really want a male-led DINK LTR and no marriage, but I can't tell the future. I don't ask for anything impossible, but yes, the bond is intangible. Trust is intangible.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/14 09:43 PM

You think of it as barriers, but those are requirements. It's not a "bond issue", the goal is the bond and sex comes with it. This is not unreasonable at all. That's how you find a worthy person. I know what I can offer and what I can get, I will be fine. Good luck as well.

I wouldn't, sorry. I had opportunities all through college, it's just not my interest. My focus has always been in the long-term. I know you are talking about your environment, your upbringing and priorities, so that's why you assume how I would act according to them. You assume too many things about what I want and how I want it. The subjective attraction is also compatibility. Likeability would be initial attraction as well, compatibility is the chances of creating a quality connection. "You m…

I agree with what you wrote here, but what I meant is that by framing the term the way you did before, you were reasoning circularly. You didn't prove your initial premise of "the only women that don't play the game those who can't (are not fuckable by reasonably attractive men) or don't know how", you just framed the definition in a way the conclusion and the premise were equivalent, making it seem unfalsifiable. "You are as attractive as how many potential partners want to sleep with you" is a…

There's a difference between being sociable and being interested in partying and hookup culture. If your personal representative demography of attractiveness is limited to the latter, fair enough. Our loss. But to deem anyone else "not fuckable by reasonably attractive men" is inaccurate. Edit: I saw your edit, but then again there's "putting yourself out there" to find someone, and there's "looking to hookup". By "putting yourself out there sexually" do you mean only the latter? Your assertion …

the only women that don't play the game those who can't (are not fuckable by reasonably attractive men) or don't know how What. There are attractive women who simply are not interested in the game at all. You just won't find them in a very social setting, that doesn't mean they don't exist.

I lurk here as a moderate when I have free time, I always enjoy hearing people out and see how discussions develop. I both like and dislike many things from both sides but I don't really fit entirely in a particular side.

I didn't get why RPW itself gets so much hate either, as it refers to such a common lifestyle. To me, it seems like it is part misconception of what submission means as a choice in that case (they always think battered wife with no voice), part because of the controversial redpill label glued to it (often vocally reactionary and generalizing), and mostly because of the non-feminist approach to it (which is why I liked it in the first place). Some people really hate it when a person actually like…

Yeah, she gets a bigger kick out of feeling superior than actually helping around there, which makes me wonder if her life is really that great if she's needing that. There are more helpful users there who sound more fulfilled. From a practical standpoint aside her perceived theoretical knowledge, she seems nothing like the woman anyone would strive to be or be with. She always manages to sound so graceless.

I don't know, she has said before she finds it repulsive to discuss anything with a woman, and so far she seems to click delete everytime anyway. I don't get people being satisfied with her dishonestly contemptuous ways and modding, or are sycophantic towards her 44 year old ass like she even has the credentials. But as long as RP fulfills you and seems worthwhile in your life, then good for you.

She sounds honest because she is blunt/harsh about it, but she tends to mischaracterize users and over speculate instead of assess. I've seen better advice from less inflammatory users. I like people at RPW who are honest but with Dana it's her way or no way. I've seen her delete things that weren't trollish or even feminist, just that questioned her and she didn't like that. She's too involved with the rhetoric now, has spent years into PUA/HBD theory and I seriously suspect she thinks she know…

I don't have hatred for her, I hung on there for a while and found her tactics dishonest. Her overt contempt and hypocrisy are the main reason that brings down that place, which has mostly good people otherwise. Her need to dominate the place entirely is greater than her actual helpfulness. I've read her blog and it's evident just how repulsive she finds women and just to what extent she lacks self-awareness, which is why she fits on TRP and I (a submissive girl who dislikes dogma) don't.

I know just one healthy marriage irl and it's very RP. But I totally get what you mean. My fear of failure is what lead me to this place, to reflect upon good examples and why they work. The replies on that thread weren't advice, just discussion on what constituted the term, as it often means an attention-seeking woman. Being aware of your trust issue is already a little step forward. I had a pretty stable childhood, but I have a major fear of debt because of my dad's latter irresponsibility. I …

Look, I noticed you've been disagreeing with me in a lot of things I've wrote. I will tell you that I am not American and dating is a little different here. I haven't had sex with a man outside a relationship- so only two guys for me- but here we don't do the "date a lot of people simultaneously until finding one that stands out". Usually, you and the girl would date monogamously until it becomes more or it becomes less. The becoming more includes sex. That's why if the guy is "not looking" for …

It's really not that black and white, though. It's more of a spectrum within a man. For dating or a relationship, there are convenient alpha traits and convenient beta traits the same way there are inconvenient alpha traits and beta traits. In another text you submitted, you refer to yourself as an alpha. But think about it like a spectrum. No one is purely one thing. Some may lean to one thing more than the other, but it's not an absolute.

Men who are looking for a LTR are going to act differently than men who are looking for casual sex. Most guys that seek advice here are currently looking for casual sex and not a girlfriend. That doesn't mean every guy out there is. RP means figuring out what you want for you, and that means different things for different people. It doesn't mean we all fit with each other. Most RP guys here wouldn't bother with me because I won't give sex outside a relationship. Likewise, I wouldn't bother with …

There are different levels of empathy. Manipulative people often act good for self-serving purposes and control, even if it looks altruistic. I'm not saying you do this, but it's worth reflecting upon. :) Look into the term "indirect aggression". This is something us women pick up right from childhood and has to do with trying to control others, and being bitchy in general. Good luck.

"Bitchy, petty, manipulative" will significantly diminish if you work hard on your empathy. Men like to be respected and appreciated. Dr. Laura Schlessinger's books are helpful texts on caring for a SO. Become more conscious of men's issues in general to understand and avoid perpetuating certain attitudes. Karen Straughan on youtube is pretty good, with videos such as "Men not marrying? How deep does "the problem" go?" or "the tyranny of female hypoagency". She doesn't talk of relationships, but…

Have you suggested she goes running with you? Keep it positive but be more direct, she has to make it her own goal. She needs to become aware of how important it is to remain attractive to your partner.
