Those criticising against the article have privilege. Privilege to be able to voice their opinions online. Privilege to be able to hear and read news about the article and other events. Privilege to live in a 1st world country and have an internet connection. If they are so flabbergasted that its a “privileged white male” getting the spotlight that is supposedly undeserving, maybe they should take a step back and understand their own privileges in the situation.

So true! Women are quick to blame beauty standards as the result of being enforced by the “patriarchy” when in fact I know plenty of women who put on make up every single day and post themselves online in bikinis and showing off themselves despite being in long-term relationships. I have no issue with the encouragement of it, but rather that it enforces an idea that jobs should also be filled 50% men and 50% women rather than encouraging free choice of pursuing a career. Women dominate the medical field and education because it is what majority are interested in. Same with men in STEM jobs.

BUT WHY DOES THAT MATTER!! If a women wants to take these classes that’s all that needs to happen. There is no need to make some exclusive female classes running in order to achieve “equality”. This is basically like running nursing classes for just men to boost the population of male nurses. It’s silly
