This makes me think of my Mom. 6 months into dating, she asked him what his intentions were, and that she wasn't going to be playing the dating game forever. He proposed three weeks later, and they were married nearly one year to the day from their first date. Happily married over 30 years now.

Screw that. That attitude exists in weird pockets on reddit and with men you don't want anyways. I'm hotter in my 30's than I've ever been and get much better (higher quality) male attention now than I did when I was younger.

I just had one come back saying that he thought I WANTED him to ghost me. Like.... WTF? What kind of reverse psychology bullshit is that? Boy bye.

You're infatuated. You started playing his game and you keep feeding into it. He's just a cute dude, they're a dime a dozen. Buy a new vibrator, block him, and stay away. He's sounds about average on the asshole scale. Not worth hating, but not worth keeping around in any capacity. Just not worth.... anything really. Like, a zero mental energy kind of dude.

Best: he was an attorney, we met up before sunrise, rode our bikes up to a peak where there's this old monastery. He had a picnic set up on an old stone wall where we could watch the sunrise.

Emotional masturbation. That took me forever to learn.

Respectfully, I disagree. Not having a man doesn’t make you a victim. Not getting the man you want doesn’t make you a victim. That’s just throwing away any semblance of control and responsibility you have over your own happiness. And the reality is getting a man isn’t going to make you happy. If you are waiting for your night in shining armor to jump in and bring you out of despair, you will be waiting forever.

Until you can love yourself and are happy without validation from men, you won't be able to receive the kind of love you deserve. A bit of a paradox. If it makes you feel better, I'm 100x happier at 30 than I was at 20.

Shout if you figure it out. I've got some snares set up outside of a few law firms but no luck yet.

This is why I try to limit my texting now. I've fallen into the trap of being used as a dumping grounds for emotional baggage and for hits of validation by guys who end up dragging out texting as long as possible before even talking about going on a date. They use excessive texting as a way to feel special and wanted without any effort of dating.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
