He is verbally and physically abusive to you, her mom. He has thrown something at your face while you were holding her! You said he doesn't do any of the parenting and doesn't even hold her. You have been abusive to him from what I am picking up on. Is this the example you want to show her growing up???? You want to show her that a man can call her bad names, and treat her as poorly as you are being treated? I do not see how being red pill/ Laura Doyle surrendered wife is going to help you. You …

What exactly does your daughter have with him? I would raise my kids in poverty every single day of the week over being abused. Plus, there is such thing as child support. Why assume you would be in poverty?

Girl. You need an exit plan, now. You are not "basically married" being married gives you some legal power, you have none of that. I'm going to bet that you live in his house and you don't have any of your own money. This man is abusive. And in front of your daughter?? Absolutely not!! When your daughter grows up would you want her dating someone like her father? And if you leave you aren't taking fatherhood away from him, you are protecting yourself and your daughter! What will you do when he s…

It’s not irrelevant. I stay home because it is fulfilling FOR ME and I am able to do that because my husband financially supports our family.

You keep saying that it wouldn’t shut you up…. So if we were having a conversation and you asked why I don’t have a job and I say I don’t need to my husband makes enough money to support our family, then you would what? Tell me I’m wrong? That I need to get a job cuz staying at home wasn’t enjoyable for you? Also, I don’t feel like I’m boasting. I never said my husband is rich. Not even close. He just makes enough money that I don’t have to have a job. I also firmly feel that people shouldn’t as…

Again I was just telling op what I say to people when they ask why I don’t have a job outside of the home. Sounds like being a stay at home housewife didn’t work for you, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t work for anyone.

Ummm ok? I guess I’m not really understanding the point of your post. Op asked what to say to people who asked about her staying home, I told her what I say. Sounds like staying home didn’t work for you, glad you found something better.

Me: my husband makes a lot of money so I don’t have to work Other people: gee that must be nice Me: yep! Is it classy? No lol but pretty much shuts them up. I also just could not care less what people think about how I live my life so I don’t feel the need to explain more.

Next week is my birthday, and our anniversary…. And my husband will be out of town for work. It will be our first anniversary apart. I’m just sad about it. We don’t normally do anything huge, but at least he comes home after work and I cook us a nice dinner and we have sex lol This year everything will just be delayed a few days, and that’s ok. I’m kinda toying with the idea of somehow sending a surprise to his hotel room but I don’t know how that would work. I’m thinking like beer and snacks ba…

Well it sounds like you have all your bases covered! I would keep doing what you can, let fall away what you can’t and if he gets mad about it, let him know that when you have more time in your schedule (quitting your job) you would be happy to add that on. Sorry, that’s snarky, but short of you guys going to counseling maybe? To have a third party help out with these discussions, I just don’t think there is any more that you can do. I know you said you aren’t looking for advice, but my reminder…

I homeschooled my kids for 10 years so trust me I get it. It’s so hard. Especially having that many people home all day, the house gets messy. After reading all the other comments so far the only thing I can suggest that I haven’t seen is are you kids involved in the house cleaning? Even little ones can pick up after themselves. Older ones can run a vacuum or broom, wipe down a toilet, wash dishes/ load the dishwasher. What do the kids do while you are working? They could be knocking out a few c…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
