This can not be affirmed enough. I have seen too many good men with good souls and good intentions get pulled back into utterly toxic situations because of an inability to cleanly and terminally break. I have been one of those men before that made the mistake of returning like a dog to its own vomit. It did not turn out well. At all.

Am marketing consultant. This is generally true. It's a pretty well known axiom, "advertise for the woman, because they control the money" Even things related to male well-being and interest is in most ways targeted to their wives and girlfriends because it is simply understood that the process will be something like: woman sees thing nags husband for a while about thing man goes and buys thing so woman will stop nagging him I wish I were joking about this, but I work with clients daily and no o…

A good friend of mine that was guest hosting a San Diego comic con met and hung out with John for a few days while there. The guy was apparently grade A, paid for everyone's shit and genuinely had an interest in learning about otherwise average guys and helping them make connections while they were out there. Sad news.

Actually, I did. And yes, objectively, I'm a good looking guy who has taken care of himself and has been successful in his career. My wife turned out to have BPD. I've posted about it before. She was entrancing, convincing, beautiful, fun (at first), and I thought dedicated. Then the masks started falling to the floor. You live, you learn.

Perhaps not, and good on her for being a decent person. That being said, I can prettying universally generalize for most men with a small anecdote: I'm about a 9 on a 1-10 scale. High income earner. Responsible. In shape. All those things. I've always had options. My now ex-wife was about as much as you could hope for, I thought. She went off the deep end. We divorced. Later found out she fucked 3 guys in the time after our son was born, we separated some time shortly thereafter and she's curren…

My ex-wife has BPD. As part of the diagnosis, BPDs often exhibit addictive personality, whether it be booze, shopping, gambling, sex, etc. I say this with all understanding of your situation: she will not get better. BPD has no cure. It is a defect of the personality. It cannot be drugged or therapied away. BPDs are ever so good at making you convinced of their uniqueness and superiority to other women. They are not. They are sick. They are broken. They will use you. Whenever you have finally de…

Perhaps a bit more nuanced than our other compatriots here are expressing: odds are if she's saying that, you've already lost her. Dread her if you want to keep her around, next her if you find yourself putting more in that you're getting out. No amount of logic-ing can turn around a woman who is hell bent on getting out. This could be due to you and your frame, this could be due to her. Value is subjective, and sometimes even men with high value are cuck'd by women as a major shit test. We call…

Getting tired of the "don't be a pussy" responses because they're inane and fruitless. The simple answer is self-discipline. I also have a penchant for feeling very deeply. That part of me has never gone away, only the way I permit it to manifest. I have one rule: never let them see you cry. I have a lot of hardship in my life right now, but do you know who all knows? A sum total of 2. My co-workers are firmly in the dark. I still go in to work, knock it out of the park and crack wise as per usua…

I like this notion of "report back". I've learned more and more that while holding myself accountable is paramount and having my own goals in life is my responsibility, having men of like mind hold me to my own standard is a helpful thing.
