People reciprocate attraction because they find the other person attractive enough. yes, and? It becomes creepy when you know someone doesn't want you and you keep persisting. Someone not wanting you - in a normal person - IS the turn-off. If you don't value the friendship as a friendship and you're just hanging around hoping it will become something more then it's creepy. If you're fine either way, you're happy to have a friend and if they like you that's cool too, then it's not.

foreplay. I'm honestly fine with never ever having sex again as long as I don't have to have bad sex. Or if I do, my partner has to bring something to the table in another way if sex is a service I am going to be providing for them rather than participating in.

improper dental hygene. Even if they're just a smoker (weed or cigs) that stuff builds on the teeth. Also, I can always smell if a guy doesn't floss, it's an instant yack.

His fanbase doesn't care so he will never get canceled. It's the same reason there's a big fuss in the media about Ariana Grande wearing cornrows or something but you don't hear about how Kobe raped an underage girl for 20 years. Ariana Grande's own teen woke fanbase is the one canceling her.

IDK I have some absolutely gorgeous friends who go for guys at their level physically and they're always getting cheated on. In the worst ways too.

people who have sex for money and set the "market price' need the money. Someone who doesn't need the money is obv gonna charge more.

and yet - in my personal experience at parties when I start drinking all of the sudden my male "friends" come out of the woodwork shooting their shot. Even coming back for round two after I have rejected them, but I'm 2 more drinks in, to see if my inhibitions are low enough. Clearly "she wouldn't get with me sober" isn't a problem for a lot of men. So why would "she wouldn't get with me for free" would be?

Women very rarely finish in heterosexual sex. If you think you're the exception, you're not - unless you bring your own vibrator to hookups.

the word you're missing is "reciprocated". If someone reciprocates your feelings, then it's endeering. If they don't reciprocate your feelings and the guy keeps pushing the issue (while knowing the girl does not like him) that's when it becomes calculating. It's like they're your "friend' but they're actually just waiting for you to get drunk.

Pete Davidson, 70s David Bowie, 90s Brendan Frasier, oddly enough - steve Buscemi in Boardwalk Empire

eh not really. To be honest, someone not wanting me in the way I desire them to is the maximum turnoff - So if I make my intentions known and they don't reciprocate I've wasted a very little amount of time on my crush. They clearly weren't the person for me. That being said, I haven't met someone in my adult life I liked enough to make the first move on.

That's what I think is so funny about red pill men as an ideology for getting women - it only works if you're really rich or really hot and you can attract women to you in a way besides being a good long-term partner option.

I think I commented this before on here but I'm mid 20s NYC woman and my most attractive friends (we're all college-educated) are dating up in status and down in looks. Everyone is also trying to go older. Like WAY older, because anyone smart doesn't want to be traded in at 40 years old. Obviously, if you're going older you're downgrading in looks. But you're never ever going to see women downgrading in both money and looks because personally, I think most would rather stay single than do that.

yeah. I really really wanted him. I thought he was the cutest, nicest guy - he reciprocated but wouldn't date me long distance so clearly, he didn't feel as strongly about me. And that's fine, but if I really wanted someone again I would go after it in the same way. The problem is there simply hasn't been another person I wanted. In hindsight, I do think he would have "valued" me more if I had played a bit hard to get - flirted instead of asking him out directly. It's the way the world works, I …

lol .. no. If you're a late 20s early 30s college-educated girl from a wealthy family, you want the same or higher. Women don't date down in status - only in looks.

IDK the most desirable man in the world right now is pete Davidson - and that's 80% charisma he looks pretty average. When I was in highschool and college it was the same way, the really charismatic and really hot guys would both get the most girls - even if the charismatic guy was like 5 8" I for one would rather sleep with Bill Hader than Henry Cavill

Depends on what you’re working with. Look up Kylie Jenner before and after face and how much THAT cost. If you just need a good body it’s easy, but a lot of people need $$$ if they want to change their face / dye their hair

I think that falls under the category of “your opinion” rather than the real world... maybe that’s how it is In your country? In NYC i see an equal number of Firm associates coming in as men and women, but the men are the ones getting managerial and partner promotions. The women all still work there, they didn’t quit to get married, they’re just passed over.

The source is CNBC, it’s not a real estate company CNBC is a national news outlet Here’s how much the median home value in the U.S. has changed between 1940 and 2000: 1940: $2,938 1950: $7,354 1960: $11,900 1970: $17,000 1980: $47,200 1990: $79,100 2000: $119,600 Here are those values again, adjusted for 2000 dollars: 1940: $30,600 1950: $44,600 1960: $58,600 1970: $65,600 1980: $93,400 1990: $101,100 2000: $119,600 It’s natural for prices to rise over time. But the issue here is that home value…

Lol okay so you live in Eastern Europe and any American bitching just ticks you off because we’re supposed to have it so much better than you? If you can’t access the article I sent you I’ll copy paste it, but basically the select data you were using (40 years comparing median income to median house price) isn’t really reflecting the FACT that in the USA income hasn’t met inflation, and household prices have surpassed inflation. There is a real housing crisis here.

Lol... I did and all that came up was warning for people with HIV and catching it I think you made it up, or are spouting some pseudoscience site and spreading it on the internet. Find a credible source or it’s not “true”.

Also here’s a source on US housing prices outpacing inflation it’s a fact, not an opinion. https://www.cnbc.com/2017/06/23/how-much-housing-prices-have-risen-since-1940.html

Well .. I mean i didn’t know where you lived but a pre-war house (pre WWII) costs more than a recent development in the US, so just on that alone I question your logic. I think you should just accept you might be wrong and in the US housing prices have increased far beyond wage prices. It’s not “get a smaller apartment” if the areas with apartments are metro areas where an apartment costs the same as a home in non-metro areas

You’re right, I misspoke What is your source on COVID-19 “sharing genes” with HIV though - Daily mail?

I’m sorry but Daily Mail is a sensationalist magazine, some of the young people they’ve reported died of corona have turned out to have died of other things

I’m for you. We should be taking it seriously. But it has absolutely nothing to do with HIV... a blood transmitted virus... It’s like the flu because it’s transmitted like the flu. The full name is SARS-COVID-19 because it’s so closely related to SARS, aka “bird flu”

US min wage in 1970 = $1.60 US min wage 2020 = $725/hr Inflation calculator: What cost $1.60 in 1970 would cost $10.68 in 2019. Meanwhile, housing has surpassed inflation. So what a house cost in 1970 would cost more than it’s inflated value today.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/04/20 11:01 AM

You can compare minimum wage in a given year to inflation of the dollar in a given year and check. US min wage in 1970 = $1.60 US min wage 2020 = $725/hr Inflation calculator: What cost $1.60 in 1970 would cost $10.68 in 2019. Meanwhile, housing has surpassed inflation. I just don’t get why they can’t build out Medicare to encompass anyone who isn’t getting it from employers. That way they don’t have to “overhaul” anything and no Americans are going 50K into debt for a broken leg
/r/PurplePillDebate06/04/20 10:56 AM

Are you comparing debt levels in this analysis ? College, housing, and medical care all lead to severe debt in the US

I’m college educated and I can’t afford to have 4 kids like my highschool educated grandparents did. That’s the reason for me. But also, is a smaller population really a bad thing? Last time I checked the world was overpopulated and there was tons of unwanted children

Americans don’t seem to eat worse than other cultures, i did about a month in indonesia and their mainstay is fried rice, soda, and other fried foods. Did a stint in Morocco and their diet is mostly carbs, and people are very overweight there as well India?? FRIED food fried everything + rice Europe? Same thing- carbs and processed shit. In Britain the only semi-healthy food I saw the whole time was the Indian shops. I guess we could chalk it up to our “snack culture” which other places don’t se…

There’s an ideology going around that every guy “deserves” a hot girl, and if they can’t see past his appearance than they’re “shallow bitches” Meanwhile most overweight incel/y guys i’ve met wouldn’t consider overweight girls

Eh, theres so many factors.... My ex was a tall, hot, football playing, Ivy League hedge fund guy But he wasn’t that nice or loving or good in bed My current partner doesn’t sound as impressive on paper but he sure is nice and loving, and buys my favorite type of chocolate when I’m sad - and i think that’s more important. My “ideal situation” would be my current partner but healthy; he smokes and eats shit, doesn’t work out and is overweight. But I am still happier with him than with my ex who c…

For sex, yes - I had an extremely overweight close friend and she would always hook up with hot guys. For relationships? No... sadly the men she slept with wouldn’t be seen in public with her sometimes, and never showed interest in dating So the “market” is only referring to one night stands? Or am I missing something, because they have a real problem in the dating market
/r/PurplePillDebate06/04/20 10:13 AM

A guy who makes less to a woman is like a fat girl to a guy. I have an overweight friend who would try to date fit guys earnestly and what you’re describing was exactly how she was treated. Like always him reminding her she was lucky he would waste his time with someone like her and then fucking her brains out. Obv, not all guys are like that - but not all women are like what youre describing either,

Ehhh lol my dad is a Doctor and he married my Ukranian immigrant teenage babysitter. It’s been 20 years and it’s his only relationship that’s held. All of his divorced surgeon friends married my stepmom’s friend back in Ukraine as well.

Ehhh the wage gap is only utter nonsense if you think everyone will be paired up neatly in heterosexual couples. Some women stay single Some women are lesbians We can’t pay people with the idea their husbands should earn more .

High income men value attractive women, therefore they’ll marry a low-income but hot “trophy wife “ woman. A high-income woman wanting a high-income man is the same level of shallow, the thing is that they probably aren’t as attractive by the time they’re successful as the 22 year old a surgeon or CEO could be marrying instead of them. Men aren’t “intimidated by a successful woman” - she just also has to be attractive if she wants to get what she thinks she deserves. Look at George Clooney’s wif…

Couldn’t it be compared to successful men wanting attractive wives? It seems like both sides of the coin want something shallow out of this “Trophy wife”
/r/PurplePillDebate06/04/20 09:53 AM

I would venture to say though, society has conditioned men to be into looks and women into status. So, a high-earning man is more normalized to marry a low-earning woman, but she also has to be at least as attractive as him - if not much more so While a high-earning woman would marry an unattractive man, but they need to make as much as they do, if not more so I guess the saying could be reframed to “successful men are intimidated by successful women” - and even then I’m not sure how true it is

Idk I was thought the tongue-in-cheek “men only want one thing” yada, but that didn’t prepare me for the actual violence of being sexually assaulted at 16, 19, and 21 years old. Now? Yeah I look at men with a bit more trepidation. I prefer dating apps to IRL so I can virtually make sure they are who they say they are, and I won’t be alone or drunk with a man - or god forbid, group of men. Learning by experience is different than learning by culture. Culture taught me to trust my elders, experien…
