I don't expect economists to be at the other end of the line when I call 911 You expect feminist professors to be at the other end of the line when you dial 911? I didn't understand why you brought up economists for 911 or how that was relevant to either economics or women's studies. It's no analogy. It doesn't mean anything. You expect feminist professors to be at the other end of the line when you dial 911? You missed my point I think. I'm not saying the feminist studies coursework has value or anything. I'm saying if a college offers that as a degree, forcing students to retake the course (with probably the same content being taught as before) does nothing but waste the students' time. This is silly. If an economics professor made a consumer purchase that isn't optimal or efficient, you wouldn't throw out all the grades of all the students because of it. I'm not even a feminist, I just recognize it's stupid and unfair to force the students to literally throw away all the work they've done because their teacher acted unethically or improperly. Seriously, imagine if your algebra teacher got caught balancing his or her checkbook wrong and you had to retake algebra because of it.
