Any YouTube channel that gives good advice on dating and relationships? It's not dating advice but I'd really recommend a channel called theramintrees. His videos teach people how to understand their own minds and maladaptive thought patterns. So you won't learn directly about dating but you may become more insightful about your own thoughts and have a bit more control over your own mind and actions. Which are all very useful skills in dating. | /r/ExRedPill | 07/06/25 07:41 AM
How can I stop seeing myself as post-wall?It certainly smacks of confirmation bias imo. Like Leo DiCaprio is certainly not a representative example -- his dating history is so atypical that it's a meme! Henry Cavill is now married and expecting with a woman who (according to the internet) was in her 30s when they met. If you're looking at this stuff and you know it upsets you, do you think it might be a compulsive/digital self harm thing? If so that's another avenue you could pursue -- techniques to help overcome negative compulsive beh… | /r/ExRedPill | 03/09/24 02:19 PM
How can I stop seeing myself as post-wall?How long ago did you delete them? It's just one step to changing how you think about things. 'The wall' is a silly belief but one I used to suffer as well (at like 23, how ridiculous hahaha), and looking back now I can say at the time there was a LOOT of confirmation bias going on in my head. I would see examples of things that appeared to confirm 'the wall' being a real thing and it would just make me despair more. What helped me was being really intentional about seeing and internalising examp… | /r/ExRedPill | 03/09/24 01:13 PM
I resent people who are more fortunate than me, and I don’t know what to do to get rid of these negative feelings of contempt and envy.Redpill people do yeah, but this is exredpill. Isn't this intended to be a safe space to nurture people's skepticism about their redpill beliefs? I just think we'd have more success helping ppl like OP if we challenge them without the sass, idk. If you find it hard to be empathetic towards people with toxic beliefs perhaps exredpill isn't the sub for you, that's the whole point of this sub? | /r/ExRedPill | 31/05/24 10:13 AM
Update: Went to therapist's office. Should be going back tomorrow.Well done mate, it's a great step -- and it's more than many people find themselves able to do. I hope this is the beginning of you being able to find some peace and contentment. Keep it up. | /r/ExRedPill | 01/03/24 09:38 AM
Woman's have a easier life?imo this is the key to a healthy understanding of reality -- being able to accept that reality is too complicated to boil down to statements like "men have it easier than women" or vice versa. Life is difficult for many people for many reasons, and redpill ideas suggesting women just chill through life in easy mode is bananas. | /r/ExRedPill | 22/01/24 09:06 AM
Redpill men and Pick-me women. The redpill understanding of relationships is based on a really skewed (if not outright false) version of reality. As a result, you can't reliably use redpill to figure out what relationships will be common or how they will work out. I would chime in with the others saying to skip/block/mute content like that or the algorithm will have a field day. | /r/ExRedPill | 22/01/24 08:58 AM
Some lingering RP damageThis video came to mind. It's by a creator called theramintrees (who makes videos helping people with various mental health related topics) on the topic of repetitive thoughts. Whilst the examples used in the video are a bit different to your own experiences, it could still be insightful and it suggests some strategies to deal with repetitive unwanted thoughts. Over time, and with practice re-routing/dealing with these thoughts, their power over you will wane. Well done for choosing to leave RP … | /r/ExRedPill | 19/01/24 12:35 PM
Challenging the "Red Pill" Notion: The Diverse Spectrum of WomensIn answer to whether the second woman would be overridden by her 'inner nature' to be attracted to the 'rude alpha male': probably, no. Maybe some would. It's hard to digest this question as someone who views women as complex individuals much the same way men are. Every woman would feel differently about a rude alpha male. Sure, there would be things in common but each experience would be unique. So you can't really make a reliable prediction for a given individual unless you know them well enou… | /r/ExRedPill | 10/01/24 02:23 PM
why do some girls date guys twice their age?One thing I would caution you against is the leap of logic you have baked in to the post. You say that because you've seen an example in real life and you see a lot of stories on reddit that it must be sort of common. Mapping what you see on reddit to your understanding of what life is really like is a bad idea. People lie on reddit all the time (for ragebait, for fun, who knows why else), there is a huge amount of sample bias, and probably lots more issues that don't come to mind right now. | 2 | Suggest some Ex Red Pill &/or healthy dating advice Content / BooksI think I've recommended it on here before, but it's certainly worth recommending again: The Marshmallow Test by Walter Mischel. It's not directly about red pill topics, however it's a really illuminating read about the shortcomings of the brain when it comes to self control and decision making. I think it could be a helpful part of your journey. For YouTube content, a channel called TheraminTrees makes content on a few different topics -- such as different types of abusive relationships, negati… | /r/ExRedPill | 14/03/22 01:35 PM
Books that make you a more attractive person, instead of emotional manipulation and "game theory"?The Marshmallow Test by Walter Mischel. I used to compulsively check my phone for replies and be filled with dread when I didn't see them. This book gave me an understanding of this behaviour which helped me to stop it. It's also low key one of the most fascinating and profound books I've ever read so I'd recommend it to anyone, anxiety or no, really. | /r/ExRedPill | 24/04/20 10:47 AM
