3 years after...Find ways you can be more proactive. Get on their schedule 6 months out for a weekend. FaceTime them. Take as much short notice time as they can reasonably give you. But give them a minute and be patient. Kids are like yo-yos. They can have some distance, but as long as you keep a connection they can come back when they need to. | /r/Divorce_Men | 21/07/26 10:48 PM
She is insinuating things that never happened. Not sure how to respond. That is basically what is happening here. She went to see my therapist with me like 3 times be fire he said “she does not live in the same reality as anyone else.” | /r/Divorce_Men | 18/07/26 06:03 PM
In retrospect, are you ever just COMPLETELY baffled at how you ignored the red flags?Oh yeah. The things I was willing to tolerate or work through or ignore for the sake of the kids was asinine. When it worked well it was amazing. She was a great partner when she wanted to be. We were great at supporting each other and staying dynamic. But she always came back around to lying and cheating. When she was finally being held accountable for a new attempt, she chose to leave rather than change literally anything. | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/07/26 03:44 PM
It's very lonely being a single guyIt sucks and nobody actually gives a shit. They just repeat useless platitudes like “You just gotta put yourself out there.” 🙄 | /r/Divorce_Men | 26/06/26 03:15 PM
“I never asked you to do everything you did for me”It’s those little statements that were said so flippantly that just so bad. Like when she said “How is your loneliness my problem” or “you already know if we didn’t have kids this relationship would have run its course.” Or the best was 15 years in when she excitedly tells me she finally see us together long-term. | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/06/26 10:36 PM
What are positive aspects of being divorced? No more conversations about everything. I want to redo the garage, I don’t have to discuss it with anyone. I want to go out to eat, I just choose and go. Also sex. With other people. | /r/Divorce_Men | 06/05/26 07:14 PM
What was the thing that made you say you no longer love your wife?Yeah, I definitely know that now. | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/05/26 01:20 PM
GLP-1s marriage killers? For real. There is a way to express the sentiment without being an asshole. | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/05/26 01:19 PM
How much responsibility do you bear for your divorce?None. She cheated. More than once. | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/05/26 03:43 AM
What was the thing that made you say you no longer love your wife? She had cheated on me early in the relationship, but we had a kid so we worked on it. Eventually she told me she realized she was “polyamorous by orientation”. So at one point we tried an open relationship. She cheated on an open relationship. By this point we had another kid. So we worked on it. But there was always someone she had her attention towards. I have no indication she cheated more during this time. But eventually she asked to go see her “friend” in NJ that she had been talking to for… | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/04/26 11:36 AM
Intersectionality is not coming to save men.I think you’re missing my point. It can come down to specific instances. It’s a constantly shifting metric. He may have more privilege than a woman in a similar situation, or a gay homeless man, or a disabled homeless person. Privilege tends to be spoken of in absolutes, but instead it is a constantly shifting hierarchy dependent on the specifics of a given situation. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 30/01/24 02:35 PM
Intersectionality is not coming to save men.It has never meant those things in this context, but yeah, people definitely make that association. And I guess my argument is that the homeless guy probably does hold privilege…in some areas. But they are definitely marginalized in others. People need to move away from the idea of privilege being an all or nothing thing. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 29/01/24 07:39 PM
Intersectionality is not coming to save men.I disagree. I don’t think acknowledging privilege is a bad approach. But I think people in general think of these problems as one dimensional. “He has privilege as a male, so he must have absolute privilege.” That just isn’t true. I can have privilege in a situation and none in another. Privilege is relevant, it just isn’t universal in one’s life. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 29/01/24 05:15 PM
Are you partnered with a woman? Do you discuss these issues?Yes, and yes. But she pushes back on some things. Fairly, respectfully. And we have very good discussions. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 24/09/23 10:05 PM

I finally got my wife to acknowledge that misandry is a real thing. For her to see the objectification of women as an issue, but not the objectification of men is misandry. | /r/MensRights | 16/08/16 04:41 PM
Blatant sexism from my required Sociology course.Am I the only seeing why it is like this? They did it because the joke is a bout a blonde, she just happens to be a girl. The other ones are only about making fun of a gender. I see why they did that, but it's still not great. | /r/MensRights | 25/06/16 07:03 AM
A New Sexual Revolt Is Underway at British Universities; some male students are refusing to attend their university’s sexual-consent classes, and I reckon this could be the first salvo in a sexual uprising against the gender-studies prudes now running (and ruining) student lifeBut most of the don't think that. | 6 | i'm beyond sure i'm not the first one to bring this up, but why is it only us guys that have to do this?I dis agree. Conscription is nothing short of involuntary servitude. If the war is just and there is a real imminent threat, there will always be people willing to join the fight voluntarily. People didn't want to join the fighting in Vietnam voluntarily because they didn't think we should be there. So they needed to force people into it to get the job done. Conscription is immoral and unnecessary. | /r/MensRights | 23/03/14 04:56 PM

Essentially how it goes. You're missing the point. It's not about one being more than the other, it's about whose responsibility it is to pay for it. If a person wants to engage in sexual activity it is their responsibility to protect themselves from the potential consequences. Not the government's, or anyone else's responsibility. | /r/MensRights | 11/11/13 09:03 PM
Unwarranted hate and hostility towards the MRMI love the logic that because it is not recognized by other "legitimate" organizations it is not legitimate. All major civil rights movements started that way. Feminism, black rights, etc. That's why they are necessary. | /r/MensRights | 09/08/13 08:59 PM

Male Genital Mutilation is on par with certain forms of FGM like clitoral hood removal. Thousands of nerve endings are destroyed, and portions of infants brains have been shown to die, with symptoms oAs a father of a circumcised boy I will say this. I am so sorry. And someday, when he is old enough I will apologize to him for it. He probably won't understand why, but that is okay. Some day he'll get it. I would never do it again...ever. | /r/MensRights | 08/02/13 05:42 AM
| -3 | Can We Try To Focus on Men's Rights, not "I Hate Feminists!" jokes?THANK YOU! This is one of the major reasons a men's rights movement is even necessary, because this happens on the other end of things. If its going to be taken seriously we need to avoid the same pitfalls that many feminists have fallen into. It's not about us against them. If that's what we turn it into it only gets worse. | /r/MensRights | 31/12/12 09:50 PM |
