Find role models. They're out there. I like to read Jocko Willink, David Goggins, and other types to get inspired. My father was a pussy and a horseshit example of how to be a man. I seek the example elsewhere and it's been a much better path than just succumbing to what I learned growing up.

I feel ya brother same scenario. For me it's all about recognizing these behaviours, examining them and pushing through the uncomfortable feelings that were deeply seeded from childhood. It gets better with time. The biggest thing is getting out there and putting theory into practice. When you see results it's easier to change

Man I really needed to hear this. I'm about 6 months into my new journey after my ltr cheated and bus chucked me. It still stings however. Hang in there OP.

Raised by a single mom here too. The only way I learned was to get hurt repeatedly until it was cemented into my thick skull that I wasn't taught right. Just keep fucking up, you'll get there eventually.

Get her to sign it and then give it to the husband.

Yeah I think I'm good with my decision. Just felt like I was obligated to do it but honestly slamming them for being whores was so much more satisfying

Gaslighting is an argument tactic of manipulative people. They discount, deny, and/or shut down anything you say no matter your willingness to discuss or help them understand your position

It'll just reopen those old wounds when she denies you and potentially gaslights you. I wouldn't waste my time.

I've been told to get my testosterone checked by a few people. Jumping on that this week

Also interested in this. Trying everything but I just feel nothing. No desire to interact or pursue or anything. Even if a hottie is adamant about hooking up with me I just could care less.

Dude thanks for taking the time to type out this response. Definitely the medicine I needed to hear. Solid advice

A dude that met your ltr at a Bachelorette party has been texting her ever since? This doesn't sound good bro. Also sounds like the illness could be a cover up. Time to dig deeper and prepare for the worst

This. My last ex was a smokeshow and pandering orbiters were everywhere. I dealt with it for awhile until one tried threatening me so I nexted her, realizing our values didn't match up and that was the real problem. I could have taken the orbiter to task but it would be pointless. Next

Yeah she's diagnosed with npd and apd. She said she didn't want me to go because she didn't want me staring at other girls there. It was a common theme with her. She was probably meeting up with someone and trying to project it on me

I did this in my last ltr and she took it as insecurity. She shit tested by wanting to go a bondage event and dress like a hoe without me. I proposed my boundary like you did and she agreed to my face that she wouldn't go but behind my back she sought revenge for me 'controlling' her. And she REALLY sought revenge. I always wondered if I went about that the right way or not, evidence says not but she was also a bit crazier than normal.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
