1	Does Sexism affect men? A positive feminist outlook for a change. Really? All I got out of it was that sexism, which is traditionally thought of as against women, hurts everyone and we should stop it. Don't forget that men are just as equally affected if not more so because not as many people pay attention to it. I think it is a good signal boost even if it is a bit of a generalization coached from a feminist angle. 3	You keep using that word... I do not think it means what you think it means Would it be better to be able to accept yourself as who you are and not have to go through pain, surgery and more? I agree it would. I also agree about cosmetic surgeries and body modifications. But, while I think it would be great for all that to be unnecessary and avoided, I also realize the world, and our bodies, aren't always perfect or in harmony with the rest of us. By saying the mind is wrong, you are basically calling it a mental illness. The same thing was said of homosexuals (and likely still is in some places) for the longest time. I'm not sure if the rules are the same everywhere, but those who wish to undergo MtF/FtM hormones and surgery must first go to counseling for quite some time to make sure it is truly the path they wish to take. I don't know if there is a test for CAIS yet, but, other than sex characteristics, it doesn't have any developmental effect on the child. I don't know if it would fall in the same category as a mental handicap. Even so, my cousins are in their 30s now and wouldn't want it any other way. 2	You keep using that word... I do not think it means what you think it means Noting, it is a genetic disorder/mutation that occurs in about 1 of every 20,000 births. The mother is usually a carrier of the faulty gene, but it can happen spontaneously as well. Blaming the mother for an unknown genetic condition is pretty douchey. I've known a few trans folk and they tend to describe it as: an extreme dissonance between what your body is and what it should be. I know if some machine were to suck out my mind/brain and stick it into a girl's body, I would be horribly out of place and nothing would feel right. I know what I should be, and a girl is not it. 30	You keep using that word... I do not think it means what you think it means Genetically, they are not women. Physically, they are not born women. But mentally, they are. The genetics can't be done much about, but they can correct their bodies to some extent to match up with where they are in their heads. That is the whole point of trans people, putting their bodies and minds in correct alignment as best they can.
