Could you perhaps stick out the last year (I'm assuming until April)? And look for someone while you're still studying? I'm in the boat where I think it would be wise for you to continue studying as a back up, especially if you're not dating or serious with anyone right now. Also I wouldn't expect people to approach you in a big city like Tdot or Van or Ottawa. I would probably look into going to networking events at your school, using online dating platforms, etc, to try and find someone likemi…

I think you were wise to stand your ground, especially if you're not monogamous. The general rule of thumb in this sub is that you should be exclusive before having sex. A few months seems like more than enough time to establish that.

Tanning lotions and sprays are bad for you as well. They increase free radical production for a few days after being applied. As much as I wish they didn't...:(

I think you've received some really good advice on accepting yourself as is in this thread... I'm going to give you my view as someone who ended up getting some alterations done (nothing huge!) and I don't regret it one bit. I've told my boyfriend that I got it done and it's the only thing I plan to ever get done (except for maybe some botox later on). I had a cleft chin that I absolutely loathed and tried to hide in every single photo that was taken. Goodness me, it was a total killer to my sel…

I think this is a troll post but anyway... don't want to break it off due to sexual desires that aren't being fulfilled Instead of cheating on him, couldn't you have uh, just taken care of yourself? Maybe sent him some pictures or texts to get both of you riled up? LDR is tough and it sounds like you weren't as committed as he is... Either way I think you should let him know -- he can decide whether he wants to be with a cheater or not. You should likely take some time to self reflect too becaus…

This post has brought upon a lot of self-reflection for me. Sometimes as people, we put too much value on how we felt in the past, and not enough value into how we feel in the present. We're living in the here and now, not the past afterall.

There was a time a few years back when we had just started dating, I moved to his city, and...I ended up living with a very abusive roommate. She yelled at me and ended up ruining some of the stuff I had baked. I was afraid, upset, and an absolute mess. He came over late in the evening, told her to leave me the hell alone, and then took me back to his place for the night (on a motorcycle at the end of November!!!) I moved out from that flat a few days after, he assisted me with that, too! Thinki…

I really enjoyed your reply on how your SO has previous BP tendencies, but that you recognize it and know how and why is

Thank you for posting this reminder, as I find it rings true - work tends to ramp up and get hectic after the holidays, and I am finding that to be just the case with my boyfriend. My boyfriend is starting 10 hour days, 7 days a week(!) for the next little while. That is a crazy amount of work with no days off. I will be spending Saturday evening with him, though we live a bit of a distance from each other. I made him a cake and lunch for Sunday, as I know he'll be exhausted after staying up lat…

I discovered this sub and TRP only a few weeks ago, but some of my goals are: Cook something nice for my boyfriend once a week Learn to STFU more lol Not press on the "passenger brake pedal" when he is driving :) Make some female friends since I am going back to college in a week Be more vulnerable with my boyfriend Get my M1 license by middle of March Happy New Year everyone! :)

As someone new to TRP & RPW, thank you for explaining! It helped to clear up a lot of the misconceptions between the two.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
