Although, that there is one word in that article that is uncommon or obscure doesn't render the entire article less accessible, I reckon. However, the fact that women appear more frequently in cleaning ads than men subtly reinforces the idea that women are meant to do more cleaning than men, promoting parts of gender inequality, and this is the issue that they're trying to highlight.
