From what you say, I don't see any mistakes. The fact that she was having fun, and you were having fun all the way was a good thing. Maybe she thought that you are just a great guy, but not really her thing? Can't give you too much feedback, coz I'm a newb at this, but from everything you said you both had good time. I think it is a great lesson for you anyway and the next date you have will be much much much better. ;)

Hotel/Motel? I mean, that is a bit of cost, so you might not want to spend extra money for sex, but then on the other hand it is a good experience. Other then that, I can't personally suggest anything else.

My suggestion would be stop hardly trying for few days, leave it for now. Let your mind clear. I did try to go with similar actions - it didn't help. I would say: stop trying, just let it happen. I mean, is like first time: you heard people doing it, you might have read some things about it, but when it happens, it happens and your body knows what to do. I'm not an expert, but that's my suggestion
