Also remember the Japanese have a HEAVY stigma on the women leaving the workforce as soon as she has a kid. Pretty much every anime I've seen that is set in japan has a "housewife mom" or a single parent that's overseas or some shit. Honestly you didn't really loose anything besides emotional investment. Yes you have a restraining order on your record, but you already have a 6 figure job.
