Make your voice heard I can understand why there isn't a punishment for rape cases that don't result in a guilty verdict. Doing so would scare ACTUAL rape victims from coming forward. I've always been curious...I'm walking out at night, going along my merry business, and my route happens to cross paths with that of a female. I'm just going to my destination, but this female assumes the worst, that I am a rapist that is going to assault her. She decides to be proactive and she maces me. I'm doing nothing that would have provoked the assault. What would happen in that situation? Am I able to press charges? They're trying to get the legal definition of it expanded so that false cases (I.E, NOT ACTUAL FUCKING RAPE) are still considered rape, thus inflating the numbers to make it seem like rape is a bigger issue than it actually is.
