I went to college in the mid 2000s. While it was still a shit show back then, even the most radical professors enjoyed and awarded students actually disagreeing with them and challenging the curriculum. Are any of these left?
He wasn't a good person, but was entertaining. In the end he was a bit nutty as celebrities typically are. He had loads of white guilt which can make anyone see life with shit-tinted glasses.
