Well, the "distancing from society" can mean anything. I left it vague on purpose. In general, men feeling like they have less of a stake in society can easily result in producing less for the economy, even if they still have a stable job.

Women are also obsessed with watching TV series. Some guys like to binge watch them, as well, but I've definitely noticed that a much larger percentage of women talk about just how many different shows they like to watch. All of that consumes absurd amounts of time.

For sure, some men are choosing to live in other countries where they can have a more extensive sex life. A common choice is southeast Asia. I suppose greater access to sex robots might become a factor for some men, as well.

Maybe depending on the price, some countries might try to manufacture their own national sex robots lol, so they will most likely try to set laws against imported ones, but it's a very extreme view in my opinion. I think it's very likely that some Asian countries will be manufacturing them. Proabably Japan and/or China. I can imagine China allowing and encouraging their sale to foreign nations while trying very hard to prevent domestic sale/consumption.

That's a silly comparison. Drugs are: 1) Easy to manufacture covertly at home. Think of marijuana grow operations (and do recall how many decades it was before marijuana started to become legalized) or all the meth labs out there. Apparently there is even some sort of "shake and bake" express meth manufacturing method that is good enough for some meth heads. 2) Have an incredibly high profit margin. There is a reason why the cartels are basically ruling Mexico.

Sex robots (of the future) will be very expensive to make. It won't be hard to ensure that no major manufacturing operations exist in the U.S. or to control their importing here. I don't think it will be difficult to stop the men of developed countries from acquiring their own sex robots.

Once sex robots become a trend (I'm pretty sure the market will make a way to make this happen) That's pretty optimistic. I think that feminists will try very had and will likely succeed in banning sex robots. Not in every country in the world, but in many of the developed ones.

In the near term, this will be the most transformative tech innovation for men. And it will be nigh-impossible to effectively ban or severely restrict access to it.

Agreed 100%. I can attest that in the U.S., at least, the idea that looks matter is downplayed to an extreme degree - while growing up. When you are an adult, you start to it differently. But in schools and in popular media (that is commonly consumed by kids), it's easy to get the impression that it's only on the inside that counts and you only need not be deformed by a freak accident to be ok, looks-wise. I suppose nowadays, with social media, the importance of looks is hard to underestimate by…

Jesus, tell me about it. I'm also in software and I can say that women have been treated like Gods. Mentoring, hand-holding, etc. Women in tech basically have an entire team of people propping and cheering them up. And guys? Well.. guys are there to deliver business value. As a guy, if your skills are not up to par.. that's your god damn problem. No one will sit down and teach you this and that.
