Thanks for the encouragement 😊 yeah my mum pointed that out to me. You have to jump through a few hoops to get the treatment but it's definitely an option! Thanks for the info! Xxx

I think a bit different as they use magnets

Hey thanks! That's cool that you were involved in the trials. The clinic is reputable but the cost is £6,000!! My parents have offered to pay but I don't think I'm gonna go ahead, it's just crazy money. I'm not sure if there are trials in the UK.

Thanks, yeah I hadn't thought of egg freezing but it definitely seems worth doing!

I would consider this a red flag, particularly with the things you mentioned about his father and brother. Edit: also, have you read "Co dependency no more" by Melody Beatty? Your first paragraph sounds like you are doing something she calls 'caretaking'. I'm not an expert but perhaps look it up xx

Thanks. I think I let out some grief just by writing this post ❤️

it's easy for their norms to become your norms. Thanks - yes this is exactly the issue I have. I think I just need to be more aware.

There was no study it was just something I saw on TRP.

I don't mean to be homophobic. I'm sorry if it has come across like that but I genuinely just wanted to ask the question. I did see it on TRP and it's stuck in my mind ever since because it made me worry. There was a big list of things that they were saying you should avoid women for, and one of them was having lots of gay guy friends. Maybe I shouldn't lurk in there.

You can get them on Amazon or from the Al-anon website. There are other books too with information on how to work the programme, which you could do from home.

Could you start reading some of the literature at home? They have books with short daily readings that are simple but also, for many, life changing. One is called "One Day at a Time in Al-anon" and the other is "Courage to change". From what you have said in this post I would sincerely recommend this.

How many meetings did you attend?

I mean, if he's an alcoholic, I would say the very least of your problems is that he doesn't want to have sex. It's a serious mental health condition. He needs help! And by the sounds of it, so do you. I would recommend that you start attending Al anon meetings straight away.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
