also this. yes.

maybe yes or not. i agree on men do not go after attractive women only, however it can be a huge factor in men's selection. pretty sure that today, every single guy knows a woman he can ask out and she would say yes. everybody's looking for the best he/she can have though.

rarity, biology and some common sense from some observation may provide insights into this situation - a woman who struggles with commitment to a man she wants to be with is similar to a man who struggles with sexual intimacy with a woman he wants to be with. i think that's why you'll see women have sex with 'attractive' guys who don't commit to them, then decide to settle to an average dude. that's also probably why the depression rate in young men is quite high. they can't have sex with 'hot' …

what do you mean by weakness? aren't we all humans and weak? the friendzone is for people who can't move from a being child to being an assertive adult. being an adult needs accountability and confidence in life in general. and sexuality for romantic relationships.

no. she doesn't clearly like you. she's not that emotional. you need time to figure out if there is a connection or not. however, if you ask her out, she won't reject you.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/24 11:41 AM

i agree. regarding money and status, it really depends. an average woman is so inclined to the person who looks physically rich, muscular and funny over a good guy who adds value to the society. as you mentioned here, Do you honestly think a woman would prefer to introduce to her friends, a successful accomplished good looking guy who she has nothing in common with...or a good looking average Joe, average job, who she has loads in common with? She will choose the former, every single time. i thi…

I feel the second option is kind of contradictory. I don’t see mutual understanding and inclusive decision making to be prioritizing herself. why not? i'm talking about parts of life where both of you are concerned, like moving to another region, having a baby, financial projects. not who you're gonna see or not.

I did. I said she's 'more emotionally invested'. she 'would likely support you in whatever you want to do'. emotional baggage can be regulated within a relationship. the work would be within the relationship, not before entering it. the second one sees herself as a fully separate person and not needy woman before the commitment, which is not the case of the first one. the first one would support you out of attachment and may not leave you as soon as you can imagine. the second one would support …

she does, but more like for the benefits of the relationship. she likes you and she's relatively committed to you, however if she finds out you're controlling and affects her freedom, she won't hesitate to leave. on the other hand - for the same girl, if she finds you not courageous enough to challenge her and the relationship, she won't tell you and might leave you as well. in other words, emotionally stable enough to keep you out of the drama, but keep in mind, she's won't make sacrifice for y…

no. actually quite the opposite. she's emotionally cold and a bit too logical. she does her stuff. you do your stuff. we do our stuff. however, you can't tell her what to do or not. if you ever discuss big relationships decisions - let's say moving to another region or having a baby. she's willing to show assertively her opinion - like she won't stay far from her family or you can't control her body. in a nutshell, you can't lead. it's a mutual agreement, just like business. she's so attractive …

i like this perspective. i thoughtfully added those scenarios as they are so different and the 2nd option seems to be more appealing for a relationship. personally, i would choose the 2nd if she's a bit emotional and let me lead, but doesn't hesitate to share her thoughts. i don't think control is effective either way. actually an autonomous woman, but the 'we' decisions are inclined to the man and she might be aware of that. today's dynamics make us think that we are totally equal, which is not…

in general, it can be the exact opposite. women are way more like social creatures than men. not sure if this is biological or conditioned. the difference imo is that adults, especially in 20-40 are horny. that simple. and women deal better with it than men. an average woman gets more attention than the average man. not saying if the relationship can succeed or not. she just has to show up to socialize. men need more and more efforts to be accepted for the bare minimum. work, gym, education/skil…

maybe she isn’t crazy about you this. this is a scenario of self-reflection though - not a real world personal thing. some dudes would settle for as fast as possible when they feel they're chosen and maintain some sort of decision-making. she also could more 'feminine' and more going with the flow. the emotional baggage could make her more dramatic as well. even though i see the 2nd woman to be 'individually' healthier, constantly looking at herself as a prize and making me chasing her for long-…

exactly. it can be a turnoff to many men.

it's just that some dudes just give up and choose whoever into them. i also prefer the second option. i can't see myself with a woman i'm not physically attracted to and has no autonomy over her individuality.

exactly what i've been thinking about. the difference here is that the first one shows that she likes you - as her trophy - and she can be with you in whatever condition. some dudes, usually from my circle, like this kind of personality and they want to settle knowing that their partner show them support. to me - as you mentioned, it shows a lack of self-esteem. it can make the relationship harder in the long run. the second one is what i prefer as well, but sometimes the coldness makes it chall…

no. it depends on what you show though. if by threat you mean aggression, a woman won't be able to receive your energy. if by threat you mean an ability to protect, that's every woman's dream. being soft will probably get you more women, but you'll be considered as a friend or at best someone 'for the experience'. imo, as a man, you need to focus on yourself first, then it depends on you if you want to choose a partner with autonomy or relies on you.

I'm Gen Y. this is a dilemma for me. I mentioned in a previous comment that I see sex/commitment very similar to Schrödinger. I don't see myself in a sexless relationship and I'm a bit 'afraid' of the fast pace of early sex, especially as a dude who has less control on the consequences of a sexual intercourse. I think I'm more open to sex comparing to Gen X, however I feel like Gen Z is way more open to it and have little-to-no shame about it. on the other side, it seems like Gen X are more able…

i tried to visualize what i want as a person. i realized that i don't want to entertain what I don't feel in touch with. casual sex will postpone what i'm looking for. anyway, easier said than done. i still face my own challenges in terms of relationships, but i'm figuring them out one step at a time.

my early 20s were like a conflict of values. many opportunities I rejected out of fear, sex-ed ignorance and values. in my mid 20s to early 30s, i tried casual sex with random (few) women. good for the experience, not that fulfilling though. the morning after and even months later were emotionally terrible at that moment. overthinking consequences. i felt used most of the time by contrasting my values of wanting a long-term relationship. a year ago, I met an honest woman who needed a casual sex …

by this logic, some women try to alter their core values because some dudes aren't in a good shape? This is why I do like basic feminism and disgusted by the current one. (some) women nowadays are showing us they want rights, but not responsibility. they live the best possible life, but they always act like victims and blame men. porn/onlyfans: it's industry. it's just ok for some people. it becomes a trend everywhere. dating apps: do you understand the pressure men feel about not wanting to com…

women control sex, men control commitment.

imo, yes and no. most of us have been taught not to approach women because life is about more than just seduction. imagine if we were told the opposite. both men and women would be overwhelmed and have no standards. the issue is that we (you) need to deconstruct this idea once we get into adulthood and maintain our personal lives as they should be. what you refer to as 'least desirable men' actually have nothing to lose, but they also don't care about themselves, which is a turnoff to the majori…
