3	What were men not allowed to do 100 years ago? Idk if it was a law, but father's generally were not allowed b/c birth was seen more as a medical procedure than a life event. My aunt, who is in her 60s says it just wasn't done and while she was giving birth to their first, my uncle just waited in a bar down the road. What about the rights of the father? But no mention of that she has possibly committed a serious criminal offence, and could have just dumped the baby because she couldn't be bothered to care for it — and that happens the whole time. Because they don't know if she is guilty. Only that she recently gave birth. In many of these cases, the mother is underage and could also be a victim of rape/incest. Karissa36 was only suggesting other possibilities as to why the poor child met it's unfortunate fate. And I am only saying that it's reasonable for authorities to be concerned about the mother since she just gave birth and may need medical attention.
